neqsim-brazil-presalt-analogue-basis

neqsim-brazil-presalt-analogue-basis is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from equinor/neqsim-community-skills. It costs 97 tokens per session (1,336 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An advisory method for estimating oil, gas, carbon dioxide, and flow risks in Brazilian pre-salt blocks when laboratory fluid data is unavailable. It uses analogue ranges, multiple cases, and a record of assumptions before relying on NeqSim results.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for early evaluation of Santos or Campos pre-salt blocks, especially when assessing carbon-dioxide-rich associated gas or reinjection. It helps prepare low, base, and high cases and check the model against available analogue data.
Why use it?
It helps avoid treating guessed fluid values as measured facts. It also highlights how carbon dioxide can affect phase behaviour, hydrate risk, materials, separation, and compression.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Security

Grade A, and why

neqsim-brazil-presalt-analogue-basis scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 26d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Brazil Pre-Salt Analogue Basis

Advisory skill. It tells an agent how to build a declared, low/base/high fluid and flow-assurance basis for a pre-salt block that has no PVT report, and what to check before trusting a NeqSim result on it.

When to Use

  • A frontier Santos or Campos pre-salt block has no PVT report and a fluid basis is needed to proceed.
  • A CO2-rich associated gas or a CO2 re-injection case must be screened before measured data exist.
  • A near-field analogue fluid is needed for a tie-back or concept study.

Inputs

  • Datum depth below sea level, water depth and any measured temperature, pressure, GOR or API.
  • Two or more named public analogue fields with depth, API, GOR and a source note.
  • The CO2 range you can cite, with the source.

Engineering Method

  1. Start from neqsim-reference-fluid-synthetic-generation (no-PVT route): reservoir temperature from the depth and a stated geothermal gradient, GOR and oil density bands from named analogue fields, and low/base/high cases.
  2. Treat the analogue values as inputs to confirm, not facts. Pre-salt carbonate reservoirs are generally light to medium oil with high GOR and CO2 in the associated gas that varies strongly between fields and within a field. Set the CO2 range from the analogue data you can cite, and record the source in the assumption register.
  3. Run the low and high CO2 cases through the whole chain, not only the base case. CO2 content drives phase envelope, hydrate and dense-phase behaviour, separation and compression duty, and the need for CO2 removal or re-injection.
  4. Gate the numbers before use:
    • Check a CO2-rich phase envelope and a saturation pressure against any available analogue PVT; flag if the EOS is outside its validated range. The NeqSim test Co2RichAssociatedGasConsistencyTest is the pass/fail gate for physical consistency (pure-CO2 critical temperature, bubble pressure rising with CO2, one dense phase above the cricondenbar). It is not a validation against measured pre-salt PVT; add measured data per field and say so in data_gaps.
    • Check hydrate and freezing margins on the CO2-rich gas.
    • Screen materials for sour or CO2 service with neqsim-flow-assurance and the material-selection skills; high CO2 partial pressure at depth is a corrosion driver.
  5. Show the effect of re-injecting CO2 or gas as a separate case with neqsim-ccs-hydrogen.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

neqsim-brazil-presalt-analogue-basis is a skill published in the GitHub repository equinor/neqsim-community-skills (4 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 97 tokens to every session and 1,336 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-09.
