paperlab_interactive_html_labs

paperlab_interactive_html_labs is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from equinor/neqsim. It costs 41 tokens per session (391 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A workflow for turning computational notebook examples into safe interactive HTML labs with bounded inputs, result tables, figures, prompts, and static fallbacks.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps create guided labs for sensitivity studies, process simulations, economics, and design decisions, with physical limits and printable alternatives.
Why use it?
It lets students explore simulations or design trade-offs without exposing arbitrary code execution or relying on an interactive environment that may be unavailable.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00041 $0.00391
Opus 5.5 $0.00016 $0.00156
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00078
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00039

Security

Grade A, and why

paperlab_interactive_html_labs scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

PaperLab Interactive HTML Labs

When to Use

USE WHEN: a chapter notebook can become a student-facing lab in the HTML book, especially for sensitivity studies, process simulations, economics, or design trade-offs.

Pair with:

  • neqsim-notebook-patterns for executable notebook setup,
  • paperlab_student_readability for student prompts,
  • paperlab_notebook_regression_baselines for stable fallback outputs.

Lab Structure

Each lab should have:

  1. Objective and prerequisite note.
  2. Fixed model setup.
  3. Bounded inputs with units and physical limits.
  4. Run or update action.
  5. Result table and figure.
  6. Interpretation prompts.
  7. Static fallback for PDF, DOCX, and ODF.

Manifest Schema

  "notebook": "chapters/ch10/notebooks/ch10_s02_teg_contactor.ipynb",
  "inputs": [
    {"name": "teg_circulation", "unit": "m3/h", "min": 0.5, "max": 5.0, "default": 2.0}
  ],
  "outputs": ["water_dew_point_C", "reboiler_duty_kW"],
  "static_fallback": "figures/ch10_teg_sensitivity.png"
}

Safety Rules

  • Do not expose arbitrary code execution in public HTML.
  • Bound all inputs with physical and computational limits.
  • Always provide static fallbacks for noninteractive formats.
  • Do not require network access for core student use.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

paperlab_interactive_html_labs is a skill published in the GitHub repository equinor/neqsim (156 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 41 tokens to every session and 391 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
