asdd

asdd is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ericrisco/rsc-harness. It costs 145 tokens per session (3,948 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A method for guiding an AI agent from an idea to verified software through specifications, risk-based review, recorded decisions, and staged work. Spec-driven development means writing requirements that guide and check implementation.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to route a substantial change through request, specification, clarification, review, implementation, and verification stages.
Why use it?
Long autonomous coding runs can produce code that passes tests but does not meet the request; this process keeps intent and decisions visible.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions subagents.

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is **The new-feature gate (hard).** The moment the user is thinking about a new feature or change — "add…", "build…", "it should also…", "quiero añadir…" — and the.

Good fit Use it to route a substantial change through request, specification, clarification, review, implementation, and verification stages.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00145 $0.03948
Opus 5.5 $0.00058 $0.01579
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00029 $0.00790
Haiku 4.5 $0.00015 $0.00395

Security

Grade A, and why

asdd scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

asdd — Agent Spec-Driven Development

The front door for letting an agent build for hours without coming back with a Frankenstein: intent in, shipped-and-verified software out, every decision recorded in 02-DOCS/wiki/sdd/.

Why it exists. Classic SDD reviewed at the end. On paper it checked the spec; in a long autonomous run, the only thing that bit for hours was the test — and tests prove the code works, not that it does what was asked (a real run: 8 hours, 4,500 green tests, and a dropped token plus a QR nobody requested). ASDD keeps the phases and changes two things: the spec must prove itself, and the review moves inside every task, scaled by risk. The human stops reviewing everything and only takes the decisions the agent must not take alone.

This skill does not do a phase. It names the method, reads the register, places the request on the map and hands off. Each phase skill points at the next one.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

asdd is a skill published in the GitHub repository ericrisco/rsc-harness (503 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 145 tokens to every session and 3,948 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-04.
