four-ps-marketing

four-ps-marketing is a skill for Claude Code from fatihguner/foreman. It costs 98 tokens per session (2,635 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A marketing framework built around four decisions: the product, its price, where it is sold, and how it is promoted. It is used to check whether those decisions support one another.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan a product launch, review a go-to-market strategy, or diagnose weak customer conversion.
Why use it?
It helps find mismatches in a launch or marketing plan, such as pricing that conflicts with the product's position or distribution choices.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00098 $0.02635
Opus 5 $0.00049 $0.01318
Sonnet 5 $0.00020 $0.00527
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00264

Security

Grade A, and why

four-ps-marketing scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The Four Ps of Marketing

Product, Price, Place, Promotion. Four words that built trillion-dollar brands and bankrupted companies that ignored even one of them. E. Jerome McCarthy distilled the entirety of marketing strategy into this deceptively simple taxonomy in 1960, and six decades later it remains the skeleton key to market entry. The framework endures not because it is sophisticated -- it is not -- but because it forces founders to confront four decisions they cannot delegate, delay, or decouple. Get all four right and the market opens. Get one wrong and you discover, expensively, that marketing is a system, not a checklist.

The Framework

The Marketing Mix operates as four interdependent levers. Adjusting one necessarily affects the others. A premium product sold through discount channels erodes its own positioning. A low price paired with exclusive distribution creates cognitive dissonance. The discipline lies in coherence.

Lever Core Question What It Encompasses Common Founder Blind Spot
Product What exactly are you selling? Features, quality, design, branding, packaging, warranties, lifecycle Over-engineering features nobody asked for; building for yourself, not the customer
Price What is it worth -- and to whom? List price, discounts, payment terms, financing, perceived value, price elasticity Defaulting to cost-plus pricing; fear of charging what the market will bear
Place How does the customer get it? Channels, distribution, logistics, market coverage, online vs. physical, partnerships Assuming "if we build it, they will come"; neglecting channel economics
Promotion How do they know it exists? Advertising, PR, content marketing, sales force, social media, partnerships, events Spending on awareness before achieving product-market fit

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
