Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00082 | $0.04358 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00041 | $0.02179 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00016 | $0.00872 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00008 | $0.00436 |
Grade A, and why
stoic-duty-and-service scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 202 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Stoic Duty and Service
The Stoics believed life is a debt -- and the repayment is service to others. This was not sentimentality. Marcus Aurelius, who could have spent his reign in palaces eating grapes, instead spent it on the frozen Danube frontier, adjudicating legal disputes and commanding legions against Germanic tribes. He did this not because he enjoyed it (his private journals make clear he often did not) but because it was his duty. The Greek word he used was praxeis koinonikas apodidonai -- to render works held in common. Epictetus, a former slave who had every reason to reject the social contract, taught duty with even greater intensity: your station is assigned; excellence lies in how you occupy it. For the entrepreneur, who has voluntarily assumed responsibility for employees, investors, customers, and a mission, the Stoic framework of duty transforms obligation from weight into architecture -- the very structure that gives the enterprise meaning.
The Framework
Stoic duty operates at three concentric levels, each one expanding the founder's sense of purpose beyond the self.
Level 1: Sympatheia -- The Interconnected Whole
"Meditate often on the interconnectedness and mutual interdependence of all things in the universe." -- Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 6.38
Sympatheia is the Stoic doctrine of universal interconnection -- the recognition that every person, event, and action is part of a single, interdependent system. This is not mysticism. It is systems thinking expressed in ancient Greek. The founder who grasps sympatheia understands that their company is not an island. It exists within a web of suppliers, customers, communities, ecosystems, and human lives. Every decision propagates outward through that web. Hiring decisions shape families. Pricing decisions shape markets. Product decisions shape behaviour.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

stoic-duty-and-service is a skill published in the GitHub repository fatihguner/foreman (50 stars, last pushed 7d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 82 tokens to every session and 4,358 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-06.

Use when a manager wants to design work, roles, or conditions that sustain employee motivation over the long term — by understanding what drives internal engagement rather than relying primarily on compensation, perks, or external incentives.

Use when a manager wants to intentionally shape the values, behaviors, and working patterns that define how their team operates — going beyond written norms to embed culture through rituals, stories, symbols, and leader modeling.

Use when leading a team and outcomes are falling short — to apply the principle that the leader owns every result, including failures caused by team members, as the non-negotiable foundation for improving performance and building trust.

Use when assessing, developing, or hiring for leadership capability — to evaluate a leader against the five virtues that Sun Tzu identifies as determinants of strategic success and diagnose which virtue deficits are causing organisational or competitive failures.
apply-reverse-mentoring-strategy
Use when trying to gain access to a senior leader or "big name" during a period of rapid technological or generational change — identify the specific new domain (a technology, platform, or cultural shift) that person doesn't understand but fears being left behind on, position yourself as someone who genuinely does…
