Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |

| Fable 5.1 | $0.00077 | $0.00921 |

Grade A, and why
diptrace-datasheet-rules scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 75 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Read runtime access before selecting tools or declaring a capability unavailable. MCP tools and native/headless CLI are separate interfaces.
Datasheet to DipTrace rules
RAG: engineering memory by default — shared workflow. Retrieve indexed component evidence plus relevant theory/layout guidance; use DipTrace library courses for mapping interpretation and verify exact limits against current official sources.
Write project-local rules/<MPN>.md using the
rules template. Replace its placeholders with actual
sources and checks; filling in a template does not establish evidence.
This task creates evidence documents; it does not authorize CAD edits.
Identify and retrieve
- Resolve exact manufacturer, orderable MPN suffix, package code, and device revision from the current BOM/specification. A family name or generic package label is insufficient.
- Build on the project's RAG engineering context: retrieve indexed component evidence, supporting theory, practical layout guidance and DipTrace mapping lessons. Reuse verified sources and connect their principles to the rule extraction; obtain current official vendor documents for exact requirements and as a disclosed fallback when RAG is unavailable.
- Check the vendor's current datasheet revision and revision history, errata, relevant application notes, recommended land pattern, and layout example. Save URLs, download date, revision, page/section, local artifact path, and SHA-256. Catalog geometry and a distributor mirror alone do not establish current manufacturer requirements.
- Inspect the pinout, package dimensions, and layout figures themselves where required; text extraction can lose pin numbering, bottom-view orientation, and dimensions.
Extract only applicable rules
- Recommended supply/logic ranges, sequencing, startup/inrush, absolute maxima as limits rather than operating targets, and power dissipation assumptions.
- Required decoupling/bias/filter/protection networks, values/tolerances, placement, capacitor bias effects and regulator stability conditions where specified.
- Pin types and mapping, exposed pad function, NC/DNC/reserved pins, boot straps, clocks/reset, programming/debug, interface and external connector constraints.
- Manufacturer package dimensions and tolerances; land pattern pad sizes/spacing, holes, pin 1 orientation, solder mask/paste and thermal treatment where specified.
- Critical placement topology, hot loops, feedback/Kelvin paths, ground connections, keepouts, differential/RF/clock routes, and thermal recommendations.
- Relevant revision-history changes and superseded advice. Do not apply one IC's grounding example to another part without evidence.
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

diptrace-datasheet-rules is a skill published in the GitHub repository fireostendere/mcp_diptrace (24 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 77 tokens to every session and 921 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-13.
