A-Eyes: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/ps-test/SKILL.md

ps-test is a skill for Claude Code from florian-priegnitz/A-Eyes. It costs 41 tokens per session (468 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

Instructions for testing a PowerShell script directly from WSL2, the Linux environment that can run alongside Windows, without using the complete MCP connection.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for running screenshot, window-listing, clipboard, and process scripts with parameters, inspecting JSON results, and diagnosing common PowerShell issues.
Why use it?
It makes script development easier to verify by showing structured output, errors, and exit codes before testing the full tool chain.

This is florian-priegnitz/A-Eyes's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on A-Eyes itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything A-Eyes configures →

Not installable: its command points at a path on the author’s own machine, so it runs nowhere else. The line is /home/flowing1978/projects/a-eyes/scripts/.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00041 $0.00468
Opus 5 $0.00020 $0.00234
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00094
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00047

Measured 10d ago against content hash e13521287fec, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-10, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ps-test scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Test PowerShell Script

Run a PowerShell script from WSL2 and show structured output.

Usage

/ps-test screenshot -WindowTitle "Notepad"
/ps-test see -ProcessName "chrome"
/ps-test list-windows
/ps-test clipboard -Action read
/ps-test processes -Name "node" -Limit 5

Steps

  1. Resolve the script path. Scripts live in scripts/ — find the matching file:

    ls /home/flowing1978/projects/a-eyes/scripts/

Convert to Windows UNC path: \\wsl.localhost\Ubuntu\home\flowing1978\projects\a-eyes\scripts\<name>.ps1

  2. Build the PowerShell command from $ARGUMENTS:

    • First token = script name (without .ps1)
    • Remaining tokens = parameters passed as-is
  3. Run the script:

powershell.exe -NoProfile -NonInteractive -ExecutionPolicy Bypass \
      -File "\\wsl.localhost\Ubuntu\home\flowing1978\projects\a-eyes\scripts\<name>.ps1" \
      <params>

  4. Show output:

    • If valid JSON: pretty-print with key highlights
    • If error: show stderr and suggest likely cause
    • Show exit code
  5. For image results (base64 data field): show field size in KB instead of full base64.

Common Issues

  • $PID variable not writable → script uses $PID instead of $wpid — report as bug
  • Execution policy errors → add -ExecutionPolicy Bypass
  • Empty output → check stderr for PowerShell load errors
  • Access denied → window may require elevated permissions or be a protected process
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ps-test is a skill published in the GitHub repository florian-priegnitz/A-Eyes (0 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 41 tokens to every session and 468 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
