A Salesforce tool for managing attribute-based Omni-Channel routing rules. These rules map record fields, such as a customer or case value, to agent skills and can be activated or deactivated.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list, inspect, create, map, activate, deactivate, or delete skill-routing rules.
Why use it?
It lets routing rules be built in stages and keeps incomplete rules inactive until their field-to-skill mappings are present.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00086 $0.00626
Opus 5.5 $0.00034 $0.00250
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00017 $0.00125
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00063

Security

Grade A, and why

service-omni-attribute-routing-configure scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (scripts/configure-and-report.sh, scripts/tests/test_attribute_routing_contracts.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

service-omni-attribute-routing-configure

Manage the full WorkSkillRouting and WorkSkillRoutingAttribute lifecycle using the approved Tooling API contract. Create rules inactive, add all mappings, and activate only after at least one mapping exists.

Usage

bash scripts/configure-and-report.sh <org> list
bash scripts/configure-and-report.sh <org> get <rule-id>
bash scripts/configure-and-report.sh <org> create <developer-name> <label> <related-entity>
bash scripts/configure-and-report.sh <org> add-attribute <rule-id> <Entity.Field> <value> <skill-id> <level> <related-entity> [additional] [priority]
bash scripts/configure-and-report.sh <org> set-active <rule-id> true|false
CONFIRM_DELETE=1 bash scripts/configure-and-report.sh <org> delete-attribute <attribute-id>
CONFIRM_DELETE=1 bash scripts/configure-and-report.sh <org> delete-rule <rule-id>

Safety and behavior

  • Reads require View Setup. Writes require Customize Application and are refused on production customer orgs.
  • Omni-Channel and Skills-Based Routing must be enabled, and referenced Skill records must already exist.
  • Creation always starts inactive. Activation reads the complete Metadata compound, preserves all mappings, removes the read-only urls member, changes only isActive, and verifies with a cold read.
  • The script rejects activation without mappings, invalid skill levels, invalid additional-skill priorities, and deletion without CONFIRM_DELETE=1.
  • Existing identical mappings are reused.

Boundaries

Use service-omni-work-skill-routing-configure for the simpler one-mapping Metadata API workflow. Use this skill when the user explicitly needs Tooling CRUD, multiple mappings, activation control, or deletion.

Reference

Read references/api-notes.md before changing the payload or compound Metadata handling.

Files

What ships with it

3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
