motion-director

motion-director is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from frankxai/awesome-motion-design-agent-skills. It costs 57 tokens per session (273 once invoked), scanned A, original, CC0-1.0.

A guide for planning animation and motion in websites, apps, videos, and interactive graphics. It helps choose a suitable tool and describe how the movement should work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to define motion goals, timing, easing, step-by-step choreography, implementation notes, and checks for animation quality.
Why use it?
It removes guesswork from deciding what should move, how it should move, and which technology fits the job. It also accounts for people who prefer reduced motion.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00057 $0.00273
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.00137
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00055
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00027

Measured 12d ago against content hash bf8cdf006749, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-12, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

motion-director scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Motion Director

Workflow

  1. Identify the output target: product UI, landing page, social video, GIF, design prototype, or embedded animation asset.
  2. Define the job of motion: guide attention, explain state, create delight, teach a concept, or express brand.
  3. Choose the stack:
    • Motion for React UI state and layout transitions.
    • GSAP for timelines, scroll, SVG, text, and high-control choreography.
    • Rive for interactive state-machine animation.
    • Lottie for portable vector loops.
    • Remotion for rendered video/GIF.
    • Three.js for spatial/3D scenes.
  4. Specify timing tokens, easing, stagger rules, and reduced-motion behavior.
  5. Ask the implementation agent to patch code.
  6. Capture output and score it with the motion quality rubric.

Output Shape

Return:

  • Motion goal
  • Recommended stack
  • Choreography
  • Timing/easing tokens
  • Reduced-motion path
  • Implementation notes
  • QA checklist
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
