conductor

conductor is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from garagon/nanostack. It costs 42 tokens per session (2,540 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A command for coordinating several coding-agent sessions through a sprint. Each agent claims a task, creates an artifact, and hands work to the next agent using files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to divide independent work, track task ownership, resolve dependencies, and pass completed results between agents.
Why use it?
It helps prevent two agents from taking the same task and makes dependencies and handoffs visible.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00042 $0.02540
Opus 5 $0.00021 $0.01270
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00508
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00254

Security

Grade A, and why

conductor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (bin/sprint.sh), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

/conductor — Multi-Agent Sprint Orchestrator

Coordinate multiple agent sessions working on the same project. Each agent claims a task, executes it, produces an artifact, and the next agent picks up where it left off.

No daemon. No service. No IPC. Just atomic file operations on .nanostack/conductor/.

Telemetry preamble

Defensive telemetry init. No-op if telemetry is disabled via NANOSTACK_NO_TELEMETRY=1, ~/.nanostack/.telemetry-disabled, or if the helpers are removed.

Sprint Definition

A sprint is a sequence of phases with dependencies:

{
  "sprint_id": "abc123",
  "project": "/path/to/repo",
  "phases": [
    { "name": "think",    "depends_on": [] },
    { "name": "plan",     "depends_on": ["think"] },
    { "name": "build",    "depends_on": ["plan"] },
    { "name": "review",   "depends_on": ["build"] },
    { "name": "security", "depends_on": ["build"] },
    { "name": "qa",       "depends_on": ["build"] },
    { "name": "ship",     "depends_on": ["review", "security", "qa"] }
  ]
}

Note: review, security, and qa can run in parallel — they all depend on build, not on each other. ship waits for all three.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

conductor is a skill published in the GitHub repository garagon/nanostack (204 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 42 tokens to every session and 2,540 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
