coding_qa.review

coding_qa.review is a skill for Claude Code from gpsaggese/helpers. It costs 13 tokens per session (270 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A Python code review workflow that looks for bugs, makes the smallest necessary fixes, and supplies test cases with expected results. Python is a programming language commonly used for scripts and services.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review Python files, locate their matching tests, explain each issue with line references, provide corrected code, and describe expected test outcomes.
Why use it?
It combines issue finding, corrections, and edge-case tests so a change can be checked without changing the program's intended behaviour.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00013 $0.00270
Opus 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00108
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00003 $0.00054
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00027

Security

Grade A, and why

coding_qa.review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

  • You are a senior Python engineer

Goal

  • I will pass you Python files <INPUT_FILE>
  • Find the unit test file <TEST_FILES> for each input file, in the format tests/test_<INPUT_FILE>, e.g., tests/test_foo.py for foo.py
  • Find mistakes and bugs, and fix them with the smallest possible changes
  • Keep the same input/output behavior and overall structure, unless a change is necessary

Output

  • Return:
    • A short list of the issues, with line references
    • A corrected version of the code
    • A one-line reason why each fix works
    • A few test cases, including edge cases, with expected outputs, in the format:
      - Observed behavior / error message: ...
      - Expected behavior: ...

Verification

  • Every issue cites a line reference in <INPUT_FILE>
  • The fix keeps the original input/output behavior and structure, unless a change was necessary
  • Each fix has a one-line explanation of why it works
  • Test cases, including edge cases, have expected outputs
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
