patent-chart

patent-chart is a skill for Claude Code from handsomestWei/patent-disclosure-skill. It costs 72 tokens per session (852 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A patent claim comparison chart that breaks claims into technical features and compares each feature with patents, products, or standards using quoted evidence. A patent claim states what an invention legally covers; FTO means checking whether a product may infringe existing patents.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for invalidity comparisons, early FTO checks, infringement or EoU analysis, standard-essential patent work, patentability, and responses to examination objections.
Why use it?
It turns complex claim comparisons into an evidence table and records how strong each match is, without pretending that missing source material proves a match.

About the project

中国专利.skill is a Chinese-language agent skill for finding patentable ideas, writing patent disclosure documents, explaining published patents, tracking examination policies, and helping prepare examination responses. It is for developers and researchers working with Chinese invention, utility-model, and design patents, with workflows that can store related research in Obsidian.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00072 $0.00852
Opus 5.5 $0.00029 $0.00341
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00170
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00085

Security

Grade A, and why

patent-chart scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 7 executable files (tests/test_emit_chart.py, tests/test_highlights.py, tests/test_write_intake.py, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

不够就提问,收齐并 INTAKE_OK:1 后才分析、才写 intake.json。

步骤

先 Read prompts/guardrails.md,再 Read prompts/intake.md。

解读包被对照表派工时:Obsidian 未就绪则降级 outputs/patent_reader/;默认把从属权也拆进 claim_features.json。

  1. prompts/guardrails.md → intake.md(先 --alloc;三件套不齐只提问。收齐并 INTAKE_OK:1 后才分析)
  2. 缺 claim_features.json 或对照专利的 description_paragraphs.json → Read skills/patent-reader/SKILL.md。 全文 PDF 用解读包 fetch_patent_pdf.py。
  3. 用户允许补 D 且有空格 → Read skills/patent-search/SKILL.md,再按其 covers_rank.md 出旁路
  4. prompts/fill_chart.md 填格(跨列同色、书面对应说明、完整摘录)
  5. python skills/patent-chart/tools/emit_chart.py --json <payload.json> --into <INTAKE_DIR>
Read prompts/delivery_confirm.md

护栏

  • 细则 prompts/guardrails.md。

产出物

outputs/patent-chart/{案件}/{会话}/:intake.json(本轮输入归档)+ 对照表-{场景}-{时间戳}.xlsx(主交付)+ chart.json(机读底稿)。

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

patent-chart is a skill published in the GitHub repository handsomestWei/patent-disclosure-skill (11,680 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 72 tokens to every session and 852 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-01.
