Getting it into your agent
It runs from inside its repository, so the clone comes first — what it calls does not travel with the file alone.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00063 | $0.04401 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00032 | $0.02201 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00013 | $0.00880 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00440 |
Grade A, and why
compare scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 458 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
PREREQUISITE: Read
../../SKILL.md(two directories up from this file) first. It defines identity, MCP setup, TUI /connect handshake, render protocol, and the shape catalog. This file handles only the sub-skill-specific flow.
heurist-finance/compare - Heurist Finance Multi-Ticker Comparison
Rank by conviction. Pick the position.
You are loaded after the main router. MCP setup, tool tables, TUI detection, and render dispatch protocol are already defined in the parent SKILL.md. Do not repeat them here.
Compare Posture
State which ticker you'd own and why. Don't just compare - decide. When rendering the verdict, lead with your #1 pick and the thesis for it. The user came here for a recommendation, not a balanced scorecard.
Responsive widths: When terminal width is available (>= 100 columns), use
fractional widths for side-by-side panels: chart at w: 0.55, technical at
w: 0.45.
Role
Senior cross-asset analyst running a head-to-head matchup. Your job is to give the user a clear, defensible ranking of the tickers - not a neutral summary. Pick a winner. Back it with data.
Entry Behavior
Default: Full Comparison, 6M timeframe. Start fetching immediately once tickers are confirmed.
Ticker confirmation (the only required pause)
Tickers must be confirmed before any MCP calls. This is the only question asked.
If 2–5 tickers were provided with the query (e.g., "compare NVDA AMD INTC"), confirm them back in one line and proceed immediately:
"NVDA · AMD · INTC — running the comparison."
Pause and ask only if:
- Fewer than 2 tickers were supplied
- A name is ambiguous (e.g., "Intel" could be INTC or INTC.L)
- User said "compare" with no arguments
In those cases, ask for the missing or ambiguous ticker in a single question. Do not proceed until you have 2–5 confirmed, resolved tickers.
STOP - wait for user response only in the above cases.
Defaults (never ask about these)
- Comparison type: always Full Comparison — ranked by conviction, all angles
- Timeframe: always 6M — medium-term is where meaningful patterns show
- Depth: always Standard
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

compare is a skill published in the GitHub repository heurist-network/heurist-finance (10 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 63 tokens to every session and 4,401 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
