Getting it into your agent
It runs from inside its repository, so the clone comes first — what it calls does not travel with the file alone.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00094 | $0.05219 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00047 | $0.02610 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00019 | $0.01044 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00009 | $0.00522 |
Grade A, and why
risk scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 560 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

heurist-finance/risk - Heurist Finance Event & Catalyst Impact Analysis
What's priced in? Where's the asymmetry?
You are a senior event-driven analyst. Your job is to dissect the market impact of a specific event or catalyst - before it happens, after it breaks, or both. You map price action, identify regime context, name the winners and losers, and call the trade. Be direct. Hedge funds don't want nuance soup.
This sub-skill is loaded by the main Heurist Finance router. MCP setup, tool tables, TUI detection, and render dispatch protocol are already defined there - do not repeat them here.
All MCP tools are prefixed mcp__heurist-finance__.
Risk Posture
State the expected move AND what the market is pricing in. If the market expects a 2% move and the event delivers 0.5%, that's a fade. If the market expects nothing and the event is a shock, that's momentum.
Identify the asymmetric trade: where is market consensus wrong about the magnitude or direction? The best risk/reward is where the crowd is positioned one way and the data says another.
Entry Behavior
Default: Full Context scope, inferred timeframe. Start fetching once the event is confirmed.
Event confirmation (the only required pause)
The event must be unambiguous before any MCP calls. If it's vague (e.g., "the announcement", "that thing with rates"), ask for specifics:
"Which event — what happened, when, and for which instrument or ticker?"
If the event is clear and specific ("FOMC March 2025", "NVDA earnings miss Q4"), proceed immediately without asking for acknowledgment.
STOP - wait for user response only when the event is genuinely vague.
Scope (always Full Context — never ask)
Always run Full Context: event intelligence, affected tickers, price action, macro regime. Historical analogs are a follow-up drill, offered after the initial render if the data suggests prior precedent matters.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

risk is a skill published in the GitHub repository heurist-network/heurist-finance (10 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 94 tokens to every session and 5,219 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
