Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00048 | $0.00910 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00024 | $0.00455 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00010 | $0.00182 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00005 | $0.00091 |
Grade A, and why
speak-with-dead scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 72 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Speak with Dead
Extract knowledge from abandoned, deprecated, or legacy systems.
What This Skill Does
This spell is archaeology, not history research. It operates on specific artifacts from a specific dead system to answer specific questions. It is NOT general tech history, NOT interviewing living people, and NOT monitoring live systems. In this grimoire, Speak with Dead is treated as a metaphorical spell with a shipping-now delivery profile. Canonical reference input: Speak with Dead (spell).
When To Use
- Route to this spell when the user asks to extract knowledge from systems that are dead, abandoned, deprecated, or archived AND the people who built or maintained them are no longer available. The knowledge must be recoverable from existing artifacts (code, commits, docs, configs, databases, state files) rather than from living people or live systems.
Prerequisites
- No extra runtime dependencies beyond Hermes Agent and the normal toolset for this session.
Procedure
- Restate the target, the success condition, and any no-touch boundaries before taking action.
- Scope the dead system: Name the specific system, confirm it is actually dead/archived, and list the user's concrete questions.
- Inventory artifacts: Identify what remains — git history, commit messages, PR descriptions, README files, archived docs, config files, database schemas, state files, packet captures, ADRs. Note what is missing.
- Reconstruct from evidence: Trace intent through commit messages, code structure, config values, and data schemas. Separate what the artifacts directly state from what you are inferring.
- Return with confidence labels: For each answer, cite the specific artifact (file, commit hash, line, config key) and label it as evidence (directly stated) or inference (reasoned from patterns). Flag any gaps where the trail goes cold.
- Package the result as the deliverables below, with confidence, assumptions, and unresolved risk called out explicitly.
Deliverables
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

speak-with-dead is a skill published in the GitHub repository Hmbown/Wizards-of-the-Ghosts (107 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed CC0-1.0. It adds 48 tokens to every session and 910 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
Other skills, from other repositories
security-pipeline
Use when security verification is needed - pre-commit security checks, vulnerability scanning, STRIDE threat analysis. Integrates with /handoff-verify --security and /commit-push-pr. CWE Top 25 based.
caveman-commit
Ultra-compressed commit message generator. Cuts noise from commit messages while preserving intent and reasoning. Conventional Commits format. Subject ≤50 chars, body only when "why" isn't obvious. Use when user says "write a commit", "commit message", "generate commit", "/commit", or invokes /caveman-commit.…
repo-stats-autoupdate
Keeps README badge + inline counts in sync with the real number of skills, agents, graph nodes/edges, communities, converted pipelines, and test inventory. Runs automatically on every commit via a git pre-commit hook. Use when the README drifts from reality or before publishing a release.
core-workflow
Detailed development workflow patterns, checklists, and standards. Auto-loads for complex tasks, planning, debugging, testing, or when explicit patterns are needed. Contains session protocols, git conventions, security checklists, testing strategy, and communication standards.
git-commit
Safely create a git commit by validating repository state, staging intended changes, scanning for secrets/conflicts, generating a Conventional Commits message (repository convention first, else an English Angular default) from the staged diff, and committing without amend.
commit-message
Conventional Commits: reads the staged diff and proposes type(scope): summary, with body/footer when needed. One logical change = one commit. commit-agent-csk applies it.
