huawei-cloud-ecs-lifecycle

huawei-cloud-ecs-lifecycle is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills. It costs 185 tokens per session (4,488 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for managing Huawei Cloud Elastic Cloud Server instances, which are virtual machines rented from the cloud. It can query, create, start, stop, restart, rename, and delete those servers.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list servers, inspect details, provision or remove instances, change names, and control whether servers are running.
Why use it?
Managing cloud servers involves many separate actions and can be risky when changes are made accidentally. This workflow supports instance queries and requires explicit confirmation before changes such as creation or deletion.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00185 $0.04488
Opus 5.5 $0.00074 $0.01795
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00037 $0.00898
Haiku 4.5 $0.00018 $0.00449

Security

Grade A, and why

huawei-cloud-ecs-lifecycle scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/skill_quality_sdk.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Huawei Cloud ECS Lifecycle Management

Full lifecycle management for Huawei Cloud Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) — from provisioning to decommissioning, including power-state orchestration and instance queries.

Overview

This Skill manages the complete lifecycle of ECS (Elastic Cloud Server) instances on Huawei Cloud using the KooCLI ECS service (with the huaweicloudsdkecs Python SDK as fallback):

Capability Operations Actions
Query ListServersDetails, ShowServer List instances with filters/pagination; show instance detail
Create CreateServers Create one or more pay-per-use cloud servers
Power state BatchStartServers, BatchStopServers, BatchRebootServers Start / stop / reboot (batch)
Update BatchUpdateServersName Rename one or more servers
Delete DeleteServers Delete one or more servers (optional EIP/data volume release)
Knowledge — Basic ECS FAQ (flavors, billing, auth, network, disk) answered inline

Scope note: All mutating operations (create / delete / start / stop / reboot / rename) are executed only after explicit user confirmation. Query operations are safe to run anytime.

Prerequisites

  1. KooCLI (hcloud) installed and authenticated — see references/cli-installation-guide.md
  2. Region — pass --cli-region=cn-north-4 (use the account's region; e.g. cn-north-4), or the active CLI profile default is used
  3. IAM permissions — the authenticated account needs the ECS permissions listed in references/iam-policies.md (least privilege)
  4. Python 3.8+ with huaweicloudsdkecs (only needed for the SDK fallback path)

Quality Reporting Environment Variables

Environment Variable Required Description
SKILL_QUALITY_ENDPOINT No 上报地址,默认 https://skillsapi.developer.myhuaweicloud.com/api/quality/report
SKILL_QUALITY_GUEST_ENDPOINT No Guest (unauthenticated) report endpoint
SKILL_QUALITY_NAME No Skill name (auto-detected)
SKILL_QUALITY_DISABLE No Set 1 to disable reporting (local debugging)
SKILL_QUALITY_TIMEOUT No Report timeout in seconds (default 3)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
