iblai-api-agent-tool

iblai-api-agent-tool is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from iblai/api. It costs 56 tokens per session (630 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An API tool for changing which tools an ibl.ai agent can use. ibl.ai is a platform for configuring AI agents through an online service.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for listing toggleable tools, checking the enabled tools, and saving a new enabled-tool set through the ibl.ai API.
Why use it?
It removes the need to manually edit agent settings when you want to see, enable, or disable available tools.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00056 $0.00630
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.00315
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00126
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00063

Measured 3d ago against content hash 3541c39c0f1d, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

iblai-api-agent-tool scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What it actually says

iblai-api-agent-tool

Enable or disable an agent's tools via the API: list the tools an agent can toggle, read which tool slugs are currently enabled, and write the enabled set back through the agent settings/ endpoint. Use when controlling which tools an agent can use.

Auth & conventions

  • Base URL: https://api.iblai.app
  • Header: Authorization: Api-Token $IBLAI_API_KEY on every request.
  • Path vars: {org} = $IBLAI_ORG, {username} = $IBLAI_USERNAME, {mentor} = the agent's unique id (e.g. d17dc729-60fd-4363-81a0-f67d9318b03e).
  • Tool writes go through the agent settings endpoint — PUT …/mentors/{mentor}/settings/ — sending the tool slug set.
  • Not connected yet? Run /iblai-api-login first to populate IBLAI_ORG, IBLAI_USERNAME, and IBLAI_API_KEY.

Reads

  • GET https://api.iblai.app/dm/api/ai-mentor/orgs/{org}/users/{username}/mentors/{mentor}/available-tools/ — toggleable tools.
  • GET https://api.iblai.app/dm/api/ai-mentor/orgs/{org}/mentors/{mentor}/settings/ — currently enabled tool slugs.

Writes

  • PUT https://api.iblai.app/dm/api/ai-mentor/orgs/{org}/mentors/{mentor}/settings/ — enable/disable tools:
    {
      "tool_slugs": "string[]",
      "can_use_tools": "boolean"
    }

Example

Enable web search and calculator tools for an agent:

curl -X PUT \
  "https://api.iblai.app/dm/api/ai-mentor/orgs/$IBLAI_ORG/mentors/$MENTOR/settings/" \
  -H "Authorization: Api-Token $IBLAI_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"tool_slugs": ["web_search", "calculator"], "can_use_tools": true}'

Notes

  • tool_slugs is the full enabled set — slugs left out of the array are disabled.
  • Pull valid slugs from the available-tools/ endpoint before writing.
  • Set can_use_tools to false to turn tools off entirely without clearing the slug set.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
