awesome-agv: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/api-documentation/SKILL.md

api-documentation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from irahardianto/awesome-agv. It costs 30 tokens per session (691 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to documenting web APIs with OpenAPI 3.1, a standard format for describing endpoints, inputs, outputs, errors, and examples.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to write OpenAPI specifications, document endpoints and schemas, add request and response examples, describe errors, plan versioning, and create interactive API documentation.
Why use it?
It helps developers understand and integrate an API, and keeps request formats, responses, errors, versions, and generated SDK information consistent.

This is irahardianto/awesome-agv's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on awesome-agv itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything awesome-agv configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00691
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00345
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00138
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00069

Security

Grade A, and why

api-documentation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

API Documentation Principles

Guidelines for creating comprehensive, developer-friendly API documentation.

When to Invoke

  • Writing or updating OpenAPI/Swagger specs
  • Documenting API endpoints, schemas, and errors
  • Creating SDK documentation and integration guides
  • API versioning and migration documentation

          $ref: '#/components/responses/ValidationError'
        '401':
          $ref: '#/components/responses/Unauthorized'

Principles

  1. Every endpoint has operationId — used for SDK generation.
  2. Every endpoint has examples — request and response.
  3. Reusable components$ref for schemas, responses, parameters.
  4. Error responses documented — every possible error code with description.

Error Documentation

Standard Error Format

{
  "error": {
    "code": "TASK_NOT_FOUND",
    "message": "Task 'abc123' not found",
    "details": [
      { "field": "id", "issue": "No task exists with this ID" }
    ]
  }
}

Error Code Catalog

Document every error code with:

  • Code — machine-readable identifier
  • HTTP Status — corresponding status code
  • Description — what caused the error
  • Resolution — how to fix it

Versioning Documentation

  1. Changelog — every API version change documented.
  2. Migration guides — step-by-step upgrade instructions.
  3. Deprecation notices — minimum 6 months warning.
  4. Breaking changes — clearly marked with migration path.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
