model-driven-app

model-driven-app is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from jnPiyush/AgentX. It costs 73 tokens per session (1,413 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Metadata files that define a Microsoft Power Apps model-driven app over Dataverse tables. Dataverse is Microsoft's cloud database; the files describe navigation, forms, views, and app components.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create record-management apps, dashboards, navigation areas, table forms, and saved views.
Why use it?
It lets developers generate the app structure consistently from source files instead of configuring every screen manually. The interface is driven by the data model and metadata.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00073 $0.01413
Opus 5.5 $0.00029 $0.00565
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00015 $0.00283
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00141

Security

Grade A, and why

model-driven-app scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Power Apps Model-Driven App

Purpose: emit the metadata that turns a set of Dataverse tables into a navigable model-driven app -- AppModule, SiteMap, forms, and views -- in a form pac solution pack accepts.

When to Use

  • Generating a model-driven app (records, forms, views, dashboards over Dataverse) from a PRD-LOWCODE
  • Adding a table area/group/subarea to an app's navigation
  • Authoring a main form or a public view for a table

Model-Driven vs Canvas

Model-driven Canvas
Layout Component-driven, metadata renders the UI Pixel-precise, maker draws controls
Data Dataverse only Dataverse + 1000+ connectors
Source AppModule + SiteMap + FormXml + SavedQuery *.fx.yaml + CanvasManifest
Use for Process/CRUD apps, dashboards Tailored task UX, mixed sources

On-Disk Layout

src/
  AppModules/
    <prefix>_<appname>/
      AppModule.xml # app shell: name, client type, components
  SiteMaps/
    <sitemapname>.xml        # navigation: Area > Group > SubArea
  Entities/<prefix>_<table>/
    FormXml/
      main/<formid>.xml # main form layout (tabs, sections, cells)
    SavedQueries/
      <queryid>.xml # public views (columns, filters, sort)

AppModule.xml (shell)

<AppModule>
  <UniqueName>agx_issuetrackerapp</UniqueName>
  <Name>Issue Tracker</Name>
  <ClientType>4</ClientType>
  <NavigationType>1</NavigationType>
  <AppComponents>
    <AppComponent type="1" schemaName="agx_issue" />        <!-- table -->
    <AppComponent type="62" schemaName="agx_issue_sitemap" /> <!-- sitemap -->
  </AppComponents>
</AppModule>

Every table, form, and view the app shows MUST be listed as an AppComponent (or be reachable via the sitemap) or the app errors at runtime with "component not in app".

SiteMap (navigation)

<SiteMap>
  <Area Id="agx_area_main" Title="Work">
    <Group Id="agx_group_issues" Title="Issues">
      <SubArea Id="agx_sub_issue" Entity="agx_issue" />
    </Group>
  </Area>
</SiteMap>

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
