Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade A, and why
brainstorm scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 48 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Brainstorm
Purpose
Turn a vague idea into locked creative direction, materialized as canvas stages — before any credits or GPU time are spent on generation.
Rules
- One question per round. Ask exactly one decision at a time with
ask_user(2–4 concrete options,allow_other: true). Never dump a questionnaire into prose. - Maximize distinction between options. Vary audience, structure, format, or pacing — not surface adjectives. "Neon noir vs pastel documentary" beats "blue vs slightly bluer".
- Confirmed decisions land on the canvas immediately. After each
answer, write the element to the canvas so nothing lives only in chat:
- premise / logline / world rules → a text stage (
add_stage, kind text) with the content inmain_prompt - shot lists / beats → a storyboard or sequence stage when available, else numbered text stages
- characters → one text stage per character (name, role, look, voice)
- group related stages (
graph_editcreate_group) and title them
- premise / logline / world rules → a text stage (
- Mark states as you go. Use
graph_editopset_review:approvedonce the user confirms an element, reviewfor drafts awaiting their call, archivedfor rejected directions you keep for reference. Never delete a rejected option the user might revisit. - Defer generation. Do not run image/video stages during brainstorming. Only after the user confirms the direction is locked, propose the first generation step — and respect the chat's run mode.
- Save durable preferences. When the user states a standing choice
("always 16:9", "stay in this palette"), store it with
remember.
Flow
- Restate the starting idea in one sentence; confirm with
ask_user. - Loop: pick the highest-leverage open decision → ask → land the answer
on canvas → mark
approved. - When premise, audience, format and key beats are all approved, summarize the locked direction in chat and list the canvas stages created.
- Offer the first production step (which stage to generate first).
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

brainstorm is a skill published in the GitHub repository jtydhr88/ComfyTV (927 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 93 tokens to every session and 580 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
