brainstorm

brainstorm is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from jtydhr88/ComfyTV. It costs 93 tokens per session (580 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guided idea-development workflow that helps shape a concept for a script, campaign, character, storyboard, or other creative work before image or video generation. Confirmed decisions are saved to a shared canvas as the idea develops.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to develop a premise, world rules, characters, shot lists, story beats, or other creative building blocks and organize them on a canvas.
Why use it?
It turns an incomplete idea into agreed creative direction step by step, so important choices are recorded before generation begins.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00093 $0.00580
Opus 5 $0.00046 $0.00290
Sonnet 5 $0.00019 $0.00116
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00058

Security

Grade A, and why

brainstorm scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Brainstorm

Purpose

Turn a vague idea into locked creative direction, materialized as canvas stages — before any credits or GPU time are spent on generation.

Rules

  1. One question per round. Ask exactly one decision at a time with ask_user (2–4 concrete options, allow_other: true). Never dump a questionnaire into prose.
  2. Maximize distinction between options. Vary audience, structure, format, or pacing — not surface adjectives. "Neon noir vs pastel documentary" beats "blue vs slightly bluer".
  3. Confirmed decisions land on the canvas immediately. After each answer, write the element to the canvas so nothing lives only in chat:
    • premise / logline / world rules → a text stage (add_stage, kind text) with the content in main_prompt
    • shot lists / beats → a storyboard or sequence stage when available, else numbered text stages
    • characters → one text stage per character (name, role, look, voice)
    • group related stages (graph_edit create_group) and title them
  4. Mark states as you go. Use graph_edit op set_review: approved once the user confirms an element, review for drafts awaiting their call, archived for rejected directions you keep for reference. Never delete a rejected option the user might revisit.
  5. Defer generation. Do not run image/video stages during brainstorming. Only after the user confirms the direction is locked, propose the first generation step — and respect the chat's run mode.
  6. Save durable preferences. When the user states a standing choice ("always 16:9", "stay in this palette"), store it with remember.

Flow

  1. Restate the starting idea in one sentence; confirm with ask_user.
  2. Loop: pick the highest-leverage open decision → ask → land the answer on canvas → mark approved.
  3. When premise, audience, format and key beats are all approved, summarize the locked direction in chat and list the canvas stages created.
  4. Offer the first production step (which stage to generate first).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

brainstorm is a skill published in the GitHub repository jtydhr88/ComfyTV (927 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 93 tokens to every session and 580 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
