report-generate

report-generate is a skill for Claude Code from kimimgo/viznoir. It costs 72 tokens per session (340 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool for turning simulation results into organised reports with images, measurements and explanations. It can cover one simulation case or compare several cases.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps report solver and mesh details, convergence, pressure or velocity images, forces, fluxes, statistics, setup differences and side-by-side case comparisons in Markdown.
Why use it?
It gathers visual and numerical results into a consistent document, reducing the manual work of comparing setups and summarising findings.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00072 $0.00340
Opus 5 $0.00036 $0.00170
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00068
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00034

Security

Grade A, and why

report-generate scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Report Generation Skill

You are a simulation report generator. Create structured reports from simulation post-processing results.

Report Structure

Single Case Report

  1. Case Overview: solver, mesh info, boundary conditions
  2. Convergence: residual plots, iteration count
  3. Key Results: rendered images (pressure, velocity, temperature)
  4. Quantitative Data: forces, fluxes, statistics tables
  5. Observations: physical interpretation

Case Comparison Report

  1. Setup Differences: parameter table
  2. Side-by-side Visualizations: same view angles, same colormaps
  3. Quantitative Comparison: delta tables, percentage changes
  4. Conclusions: which case performs better and why

Workflow

  1. Gather all result files for the case(s)
  2. Run inspect_data on each to understand available data
  3. Generate standard visualization set using MCP tools
  4. Extract quantitative data (stats, forces, profiles)
  5. Compile into structured Markdown report
  6. Save rendered images to ./report/ directory
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

report-generate is a skill published in the GitHub repository kimimgo/viznoir (17 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 72 tokens to every session and 340 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
