repository-manager-development

repository-manager-development is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Knuckles-Team/repository-manager. It costs 65 tokens per session (1,597 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A development workflow for making small, reviewable changes to the Repository Manager, including its Python command-line tool, server adapter, packaging, and skills.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing Repository Manager code, its MCP interface, command-line behavior, package data, workflows, or skill discovery.
Why use it?
It keeps code, tests, validation, and publication evidence together while preventing unrelated ownership and credential mistakes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00065 $0.01597
Opus 5.5 $0.00026 $0.00639
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00319
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00160

Security

Grade A, and why

repository-manager-development scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Repository Manager — Development

Repository Manager is the governed workspace and development adapter. Its Python CLI is implemented in repository_manager/repository_manager.py; the MCP server and its environment defaults live in repository_manager/mcp_server.py. The package exposes the repository-manager-mcp console script and the agent_connector_sdk.skill_providers entry point loads skills from repository_manager.skills. Connector contracts and transports belong to agent-connector-sdk; admission, serving, and durable graph state belong to their owning repositories.

Read AGENTS.md and the owning specification before editing. Keep credentials, provider data, and private workspace paths out of source, logs, skills, and receipts.

When to use

  • Add or repair a repository-manager skill, MCP surface, CLI behavior, package data, workflow, or repository-local development gate.
  • Deliver one bounded requirement in a real branch and leave a reviewable source, test, and evidence trail.
  • Check that a packaged skill remains discoverable by the SDK after a source change.

When not to use

  • The complete isolated-lane sequence belongs to repository-manager-development-lifecycle and repository-manager-lane-lifecycle.
  • Worktree verbs and queue reconciliation belong to repository-manager-worktree-orchestration and repository-manager-merge-and-reconcile.
  • Workspace-wide validation, version planning, and release sequencing belong to repository-manager-workspace-validation and repository-manager-workspace-release.
  • Cross-repository fan-out belongs to the fleet-scale and bulk-operation skills. Keep this skill's change in this repository.

Repository source map

  • repository_manager/repository_manager.py owns the Python CLI and the repository-manager implementation used by the console script.
  • repository_manager/mcp_server.py builds the FastMCP server and exports the live action constants. Its registry loads git, project, workspace, gate, lane, worktree, merge-queue, build, docs-readiness, concept, and remote worker surfaces through the existing registrars.
  • repository_manager/mcp_tools/registry.py is the deterministic registrar seam. Keep a new surface there instead of adding a second discovery path.
  • repository_manager/skills/ is package data (skills/** in pyproject.toml) and is exposed through the repository-manager = "repository_manager.skills" SDK entry point.
  • The server's workspace defaults are source-backed by REPOSITORY_MANAGER_WORKSPACE, WORKSPACE_PATH, CONNECTOR_WORKSPACE_ROOT, WORKSPACE_YML, and REPOSITORY_MANAGER_THREADS. Tool-family switches are read by the existing registrars; do not document a new switch without adding its real source contract.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
