What is content-strategy?

A planning guide for building a sustainable portfolio of useful content around audience needs, business goals, distribution, evidence, and available production capacity. A content portfolio is the planned set of articles, pages, and other materials a team maintains.

It is used to create content strategies, topic areas, editorial plans, backlogs, and reviews of existing content.

It helps teams avoid unsupported assumptions about demand, rankings, customers, or competitors and focus on work they can actually produce and maintain.
