browser-test-self-healing

browser-test-self-healing is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from manishiitg/coding-agent-loop. It costs 54 tokens per session (748 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for diagnosing failed browser tests and proposing test-only repairs, then verifying and reviewing those repairs before updating the stored tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps isolate browser-test failures, repair outdated automation, verify the repair, and update the approved tests and application knowledge.
Why use it?
It addresses stale or flaky browser automation without treating a product defect as a test problem. Flaky tests give different results for the same inputs.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00054 $0.00748
Opus 5.5 $0.00022 $0.00299
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00011 $0.00150
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00075

Security

Grade A, and why

browser-test-self-healing scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Browser Test Self-Healing

Outcome

Create an auditable workflow that classifies a browser-test failure, proposes an eligible test-only repair, verifies it in isolation, obtains configured review, applies the exact approved change, and reruns canonical tests.

When to use

Use for stale or flaky browser automation backed by an existing Browser QA foundation and preserved failure evidence. Product defects, environment blockers, uncertain behavior, and requested product changes remain outside automated healing.

Discovery and user direction

Inspect the current workflow, goals, metrics, configuration, capabilities, stores, reports, and triggers before proposing changes. Summarize reusable design and gaps, then ask focused questions for unresolved customer choices such as scope, success, approvals, thresholds, ownership, and budgets. Record the answers as customer direction. Installation alone does not approve workflow changes or execution. Default to one small-team workflow; split only for incompatible access or lifecycle boundaries.

Required inputs

Resolve the foundation and application knowledge, original finding and evidence, canonical test source and base revision, allowed test/config paths, affected journeys, approval policy, recording retention, and optional publication destination.

Plan and AgentWorks tools

Use a preparation route to diagnose, propose, verify in isolation, persist pending_review, and end without changing canonical tests. A separate apply route validates the later decision, exact patch, and current base before applying once and rerunning canonical tests. Use a blocking human branch only for an explicitly attended run.

Knowledge and persistence

Preserve the original finding, every candidate, verification attempt, decision, applied revision, and video, console/network, screenshot, or trace reference in durable tables/assets. Update knowledgebase notes only with verified application facts after canonical success; keep executable locators in shared test helpers.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
