Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00045 | $0.01153 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00018 | $0.00461 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00009 | $0.00231 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00005 | $0.00115 |
Grade A, and why
remaining-work scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 90 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
remaining-work
Measure what the code delivers, not what a status document reports. The order is audit, plan, split, detail.

Row keys: id, status, percent, evidence (a file:line), missing, date.
status is done, partial, skeleton, gap, gated or not_audited.
The rows are the deliverable. Every percentage and every item comes from them. The report is a view of the rows.
1. Audit
- Extract the requirements from
{{OPENSPEC_DIR}}with a script. Compare the total with the last count. A different total means that the extractor broke. - Map the code: modules, routes, jobs, tables and screens. Keep backend and frontend apart.
- Rate each requirement. It is
doneonly when the code is wired and tested. - A status document, a task checkbox, a type or a schema-only table is not proof. An API with no screen is not delivered.
gapmeans unbuilt.gatedmeans blocked on a decision or a credential.- Run a second pass that tries to refute each
done. It may lower a status. It may not raise one. - A claim with no
file:linebecomesgap. Open each citedfile:lineafter the run. - An agent that returns no row leaves
not_audited. Never average over missing rows.
Extraction traps:
- A duplicate id in one file is a redefinition. Keep the first position. The later text wins.
- Match every id prefix family. Match lower-case suffixes such as
-004b. - Take every table row whose first cell is a valid id. This includes appendices.
- Exclude a requirement only on a structured marker, never on prose.
2. Refresh
Audit again only what moved. Carry every other row forward with its original date.
- These changes put a requirement back in scope: its text changed, it is new, or a file that its evidence cites changed.
- New code that no row cites needs a discovery pass. Group it by directory. Ask whether it implements a
gaprequirement. - Name the pivot files, such as a root module or a shared schema. They inflate the scope.
- Before a fan-out, state the scope and the cost in one line. Wait for a yes.
- If nothing moved, say so and stop.
- Report the movement: rows audited again, advances, regressions, the old and new percent. Separate fresh rows from carried rows.
- Say that this is static analysis. Neither the app nor the tests ran.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

remaining-work is a skill published in the GitHub repository me-cedric/agent-compass (3 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 45 tokens to every session and 1,153 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-18.
