Skill establishes unauthorized persistence across sessions via cron jobs, startup scripts, or state files. Session persistence allows an attacker to maintain access beyond the current interaction.
Fix: Remove any persistence mechanisms (cron jobs, startup scripts, state files). Skills should not maintain state across sessions without explicit user consent.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00056 $0.00641
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.00320
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00128
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00064

Security

Grade A, and why

skill-creator scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 9 executable files (scripts/improve_description.py, scripts/init_skill.py, scripts/optimize_description.py, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Skill Creator

Overview

Create and maintain Claude Code skills that can be installed through the Cadence marketplace and used directly in Claude Code.

When To Use

Use this skill when the user asks to:

  • create a new skill
  • edit an existing skill
  • validate skill frontmatter or structure
  • package a skill into .skill
  • evaluate or optimize skill description trigger behavior

Repository Contract

  • Skill directories live in skills/<skill-name>/
  • Every skill must contain SKILL.md
  • name in frontmatter must equal directory name
  • Optional directories: scripts/, references/, assets/
  • For project-local Claude Code usage, prefer .claude/skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md
  • Use ~/.claude/skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md only when the skill should be shared across projects

Execution Workflow

  1. One-shot workflow (recommended in most cases):
python skills/skill-creator/scripts/skill_create_workflow.py --skill-name <skill-name> --package --optimize --apply

0b. One-shot workflow for project-local Claude Code skill (preferred for direct usage in the current project):

python skills/skill-creator/scripts/skill_create_workflow.py --skill-name <skill-name> --target project

0c. One-shot workflow for Claude Code GLOBAL skill:

python skills/skill-creator/scripts/skill_create_workflow.py --skill-name <skill-name> --target global
  1. Scaffold a new skill:
python skills/skill-creator/scripts/init_skill.py <skill-name>
  1. Validate structure:
python skills/skill-creator/scripts/quick_validate.py skills/<skill-name>
  1. Package distributable file:
python skills/skill-creator/scripts/package_skill.py skills/<skill-name> dist
  1. Evaluate current description trigger quality:
python skills/skill-creator/scripts/run_eval.py --eval-set <eval-set.json> --skill-path skills/<skill-name>
  1. Optimize description in loop:
python skills/skill-creator/scripts/run_loop.py --eval-set <eval-set.json> --skill-path skills/<skill-name> --max-iterations 5 --apply

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
