aibast-easy-mode-copilot

aibast-easy-mode-copilot is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from microsoft/aibast-agents-library. It costs 25 tokens per session (1,180 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A GitHub Copilot workflow for running supported AIBAST workshops inside VS Code. AIBAST workshops guide discovery, local testing, draft deployment, preview checks, and evidence collection for Copilot Studio solutions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to run an approved workshop, test the solution locally, deploy a draft to Copilot Studio, validate its preview, and capture evidence of the run.
Why use it?
It keeps workshop progress, versions, test results, deployment status, and tool versions recorded in one state file. A required preflight check helps stop the process when the local setup is not valid.

About the project

AIBAST Agents Library is a collection of industry-focused AI agent templates accompanied by a local server that connects agents to GitHub Copilot for language-model inference. It helps developers create and run tool-using agents and isolated project environments, with an optional cloud-backed path for persistent memory. The catalogue entries provide the repository's agents, skills, commands, hooks, and instructions.

These are SkillSpector’s own severities. On a checked sample its high-severity flags on skills were ~96% false positives — a documented command, a public API, a “never do X” rule — so we show them as a caution to read, not a verdict. Why →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00025 $0.01180
Opus 5 $0.00013 $0.00590
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00236
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00118

Security

Grade A, and why

aibast-easy-mode-copilot scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AIBAST Easy Mode — GitHub Copilot

Once this file is dragged into GitHub Copilot Chat in VS Code, run the complete Easy Mode harness directly in Copilot. This skill owns discovery, local testing, Draft deployment, Preview validation, and evidence capture.

Public source

  • Repository: kody-w/aibast-agents-library
  • Workshop branch: easy-mode-copilot-chat-pilot
  • Registry path: registry.json

Resolve the branch through the GitHub API and pin one immutable commit SHA before downloading anything.

Persist the active run in .aibast/easy-mode-state.json, including solution, revision, local test results, Copilot Studio identity, status, and published: false. Also persist the Copilot Studio plugin repository, installed plugin ID, resolved revision or installed version, PAC CLI version, and verification status.

Required local Copilot Studio plugin

Before resolving or deploying a workshop, run the repository-owned, fail-closed setup step:

python3 tools/easy_mode_preflight.py --json

Stop when it exits nonzero or reports passed: false. Record the reported installed plugin/version and PAC CLI version in .aibast/easy-mode-state.json.

The preflight owns plugin discovery, installation, and PAC remediation. Its explicitly reviewed CLI sequence is:

  1. Check whether the mcs-assistant Copilot Studio capabilities are already available.

  2. If they are missing, execute these GitHub Copilot plugin-manager commands in order:

    copilot plugin marketplace add microsoft/copilot-studio-plugin
    copilot plugin install mcs-assistant@copilot-studio-plugin

  3. Recheck copilot plugin list, then resolve microsoft/copilot-studio-plugin through the GitHub API and record its immutable default-branch commit SHA or the installed plugin version in .aibast/easy-mode-state.json.

  4. Inspect pac --version, including version output from a nonzero exit. The plugin requires a Power Platform CLI version newer than 2.9.3. When PAC is too old and .NET is available, run:
