airi: Skill for Codex

.agents/skills/enforce-rules-for-i18n/SKILL.md

enforce-rules-for-i18n is a skill for Codex from moeru-ai/airi. It costs 62 tokens per session (1,409 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for reviewing pending AIRI translations in Crowdin and syncing approved results into the repository. Crowdin is a service for managing software translations.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect translations waiting for review, apply the project's placeholder rules, and synchronize reviewed translations with the code repository.
Why use it?
It batches review work and keeps personal access tokens out of the agent's files and output.

Skill for Codex

Written for Codex: agents/openai.yaml present. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is moeru-ai/airi's own configuration. It tells Codex how to work on airi itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything airi configures →

About the project

AIRI is a self-hosted virtual AI companion that gives an AI character a voice, visual presence, memory, and the ability to interact with games and coding activity. People use it as a personal digital companion on the web, macOS, or Windows, including for voice chat and gameplay. The catalogue add-ons provide workflows for working with the AIRI project.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00062 $0.01409
Opus 5.5 $0.00025 $0.00564
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00282
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00141

Measured 15d ago against content hash daccd5fbb2ff, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

enforce-rules-for-i18n scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (scripts/apply-review.mjs, scripts/pending-review.mjs), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Crowdin batch review for AIRI

This skill reviews the translations that wait for approval on the AIRI Crowdin project. An agent judges each translation. A person applies the result with their own token.

Requirements

  • Node.js 24 or later, and pnpm install in this repository. The check script imports the placeholder rule from .github/scripts/check-locales.ts.
  • A Crowdin personal access token with proofreader or manager access to the AIRI project. Create it in Crowdin: Account Settings > API > Personal Access Tokens.
  • The project id defaults to 816610, the id in crowdin.yml of moeru-ai/airi. To use another project, set CROWDIN_PROJECT_ID.

Token rules

  • The person sets the token in their own terminal. The agent never asks for, reads, prints, or passes the token.
  • Set the token for the current terminal only. Do not write it into a shell profile.
read -rs "CROWDIN_PERSONAL_TOKEN?Crowdin token: " && export CROWDIN_PERSONAL_TOKEN

The command above is for zsh. In bash, use read -rsp "Crowdin token: " CROWDIN_PERSONAL_TOKEN && export CROWDIN_PERSONAL_TOKEN.

Workflow

The scripts read and write their files in the current directory. Run them from a work directory outside the repository, so the review files stay out of Git. <repo> is the root of this repository.

  1. Check (person runs). This step is read-only.

    node <repo>/.agents/skills/enforce-rules-for-i18n/scripts/pending-review.mjs

    It prints a table for each language. It writes crowdin-pending-review.json with all pending translations. It writes crowdin-pending-review.md with the flagged ones only: placeholder mismatch, same as English, and bad whitespace.

    If the table shows 0 pending, there is nothing to review. Go to step 5.

  2. Review (agent). Read crowdin-pending-review.json and judge every entry with the policy below. Write crowdin-review-decisions.json:

    {
      "approve": [{ "languageId": "es-ES", "file": "stage.yaml", "key": "a.b", "text": "..." }],
      "reject": [{ "languageId": "es-ES", "file": "stage.yaml", "key": "a.b", "text": "...", "reason": "..." }]
    }

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
