What is rules-budget?

A procedure for measuring the rule-expression limit in Firestore security rules. Firestore is Google's database service, and its rules control who can read or change data.

Use it after adding or changing allow rules or helpers, when tests hit the expression limit, or before changing event-update rules.

It helps explain rule-test failures caused by the 1,000-expression limit and identifies helpers or rule changes that consume too much of that budget.
