amazon-trending-products is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills. It costs 113 tokens per session (2,132 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An Amazon product-trend research tool for sellers. It examines sales-rank movement, seasonal demand, new-product momentum, category growth, and competition across supported marketplaces.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to find rising products and niches, study seasonal opportunities, track new releases, compare marketplaces, and assess competition.
Why use it?
It helps sellers find products and categories gaining interest before deciding what to stock or launch. It also helps distinguish continuing demand from a short-lived fad.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00113 $0.02132
Opus 5 $0.00056 $0.01066
Sonnet 5 $0.00023 $0.00426
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00213

Security

Grade A, and why

amazon-trending-products scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Users can ask naturally. Examples:

What products are trending on Amazon US right now?

Show me emerging niches in fitness equipment on Amazon
What seasonal products should I prepare for spring 2025?

Workflow

Step 1: Identify Trending Categories

Use web_search to gather trending signals:

  1. Search "Amazon best sellers 2024 trending products" — identify current hot categories
  2. Search "Amazon movers and shakers [category]" — find products with BSR momentum
  3. Search "viral products Amazon TikTok trending" — capture social media driven trends
  4. Search "Amazon new releases [category] best sellers" — spot emerging winners

What to extract:

  • Category names with growth indicators
  • Specific products showing rapid BSR improvement
  • Price ranges of trending items
  • Common features/benefits trending upward

Step 2: Analyze BSR Patterns

For each trending product/category identified:

  1. Search for BSR data: "[product] Amazon BSR rank Best Seller"
  2. Look for momentum indicators:
    • "moved up X positions"
    • "climbed from rank X to Y"
    • "new to best sellers"
    • "rapid rise in popularity"

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
