Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00093 | $0.01618 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00037 | $0.00647 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00019 | $0.00324 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00009 | $0.00162 |
Grade A, and why
visual-hierarchy scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 126 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
If Everything Is Important, Nothing Is -- One Star per Screen
Users form a first impression within 50ms (Lindgaard et al., 2006). Hierarchy must work at the gestalt level -- before anyone reads a single word, the eye must know where to land. If two elements compete for dominance, neither wins and the user stalls.
Three Levers of Hierarchy
Control visual importance with exactly three levers. Use them independently, not simultaneously.
| Lever | How It Works | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Size | Larger elements attract first | 2x body size for primary headings |
| Weight/Boldness | Heavier strokes draw focus | Bold for labels, regular for body |
| Color/Contrast | Higher contrast = more important | Dark text on light bg for primary, gray for tertiary |
Rule: Adjust one lever at a time. If a heading is already 2x body size, do not also make it bold and high-contrast -- that overshoots. Reserve additional levers for when a single lever is insufficient.
Three-Tier Information Architecture
Every screen must have exactly three tiers of visual importance. No more, no fewer.
| Tier | Size | Weight | Contrast Ratio | Role |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Primary | 2x body | Bold (600--700) | >= 7:1 | The star -- one per screen/section |
| Secondary | 1x body | Regular (400) | 4.5--7:1 | Supporting content |
| Tertiary | 0.75x body | Light (300--400) | 3--4.5:1 | Metadata, timestamps, captions |
If you cannot assign every text element to one of these three tiers, the hierarchy is broken.
One Dominant Element per Screen
Every screen and every section needs exactly one "star" -- the element the eye hits first. This is the F-pattern entry point, the dashboard KPI, the landing page headline.
The squint test: Squint at the screen until you can barely see it. The element that remains most visible is the star. If nothing stands out, or if two elements compete, the hierarchy has failed.
The 5-second test: Show the screen for 5 seconds, then ask: "What was this page about?" If users cannot answer, the star is not dominant enough.
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

visual-hierarchy is a skill published in the GitHub repository oborchers/fractional-cto (32 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 93 tokens to every session and 1,618 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-13.
