vercel-supabase-launch-check

vercel-supabase-launch-check is a skill for Claude Code from ohad6k/VibeRaven. It costs 137 tokens per session (1,023 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A pre-launch review for apps hosted on Vercel and using Supabase, a hosted database and backend service. It checks repository files for exposed data, missing database access rules, and other launch gaps.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect migrations, client code, environment files, and webhook routes; review findings with file references; preview fixes; and re-check after changes.
Why use it?
It helps find security and deployment problems before real users or a client receive the app, while making clear which dashboard settings the repository cannot see.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00137 $0.01023
Opus 5.5 $0.00055 $0.00409
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00027 $0.00205
Haiku 4.5 $0.00014 $0.00102

Security

Grade A, and why

vercel-supabase-launch-check scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Vercel + Supabase launch check

A first pass over the repository before real users arrive. VibeRaven reads the project files on this machine (migrations, client code, env files, webhook routes) and lists launch gaps, each with the file that caused it and a fix. It is advice, not a gate: the user decides when to ship.

Phases

  1. Run the check in the project root:
    npx -y [email protected] check

If the VibeRaven MCP server is connected, call viberaven_check_readiness instead. The command exits 1 when it finds blockers. That is a result, not a crash.
  2. Read the findings from the terminal and from .viberaven/agent-tasklist.md. Explain the top one or two in plain words: what is exposed, to whom, and in which file.
  3. Fix one gap at a time. Prefer the printed fix, or preview a safe recipe with npx -y [email protected] fix --gap <id> --dry-run before applying it. Show the user the diff.
  4. Re-check once per batch of fixes, not after every edit, and report what changed.
  5. Say what the check cannot see. Policies or settings changed only in the Supabase or Vercel dashboard are invisible to a repo check. For Vercel and Supabase evidence, run npx -y [email protected] audit --vercel-supabase. For CI, --strict turns the verdict into an exit code, but only if the user wants that.
  6. Compare with the live project, only if the user already connected the official Supabase MCP server. Do not ask for credentials and do not set it up for this. Use read-only tools, and prefer a connection with read_only=true:
    • get_advisors with type security, for what Supabase itself flags on the live database.
    • list_tables, to see which live tables have RLS on.
    • execute_sql with this select only, to list live policies that let everyone through:
select tablename, policyname, cmd, qual, with_check
      from pg_policies
      where schemaname = 'public'
        and (qual = 'true' or with_check = 'true');

Then tell the user where the repo and the live project disagree: a table the migrations protect but the live database does not, or a policy someone changed in the dashboard. Read qual, not the policy name: a policy called "Owners can update their agents" with using (true) lets anyone update every row.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
