b-roll-shot-list

b-roll-shot-list is a skill for Claude Code from Ootto-AI/claude-content-skills. It costs 61 tokens per session (444 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A filming-planning skill that turns a video script into an ordered list of clips to record. B-roll means supporting footage shown alongside or over the spoken words.

In plain words
What is it for?
Planning angles and framing, assigning shots to script lines, marking essential coverage, finding stock-footage search terms, and listing the required equipment.
Why use it?
It makes clear what footage is needed for each line and which shots matter most. Grouping shots by location and setup can reduce unnecessary movement while filming.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00061 $0.00444
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.00222
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00089
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00044

Security

Grade A, and why

b-roll-shot-list scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

B-Roll & Shot List — everything you need to film, in shooting order

Turns a script into a shoot-ready shot list — every clip, angle and visual you need to film, in order.

When to use

The script is done and you need to know exactly what to film.

What you'll need

The final script.

Instructions

Give Claude the input and run this.

You are my first AD. Script: [paste].

1. SHOT LIST in FILMING order (not script order) — group by location and setup so I shoot everything in
one place before moving. Number them.
2. PER SHOT: what's in frame, the angle, the duration to film, and THE LINE IT COVERS.
3. NO ORPHANS: if a shot doesn't cover a line, cut it and say so.
4. COVERAGE: mark which shots are essential vs nice-to-have, so I know what to drop when time runs out.
5. STOCK FALLBACK: for anything I can't film, the exact search term to find it.
6. KIT: what I actually need, in one short list.

Honesty: Every shot needs a job. Pretty footage with no line to cover is what makes reels drag.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
