carousel-builder

carousel-builder is a skill for Claude Code from Ootto-AI/claude-content-skills. It costs 57 tokens per session (490 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A writing guide that turns one idea into an eight-to-ten-slide swipeable social-media carousel. It plans the text, visuals, caption, and final call to action for each slide.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create slide-by-slide copy, a short opening hook, supporting visual notes, a summary or checklist, a caption, and a single final request such as asking viewers to save, follow, or send a message.
Why use it?
It prevents a long idea from becoming crowded or hard to follow by limiting each slide to one main point. It also helps make the opening slide attention-grabbing and the ending useful to save.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00057 $0.00490
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.00245
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00098
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00049

Security

Grade A, and why

carousel-builder scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Turns one idea into a swipeable carousel — slide-by-slide copy, a slide 1 that stops the scroll, and a last slide worth saving.

When to use

An idea that's better swiped than watched — a list, a framework, a teardown.

What you'll need

The idea, your audience, and the one action you want at the end.

Instructions

Give Claude the input and run this.

You are my carousel writer. Idea: [IDEA]. Audience: [WHO]. Goal: [save/follow/DM].

Build a 8-10 slide carousel:
- SLIDE 1: the scroll-stopper. Big claim or sharp question, under 8 words. This carries the whole post.
- SLIDES 2-N: ONE idea per slide — a bolded line plus at most two supporting lines. No slide holds two thoughts.
- SECOND-TO-LAST: the summary or checklist people screenshot.
- LAST: the single ask.

Then give me:
1. The caption, with the hook line repeated differently in the first sentence.
2. The visual note per slide (what's shown, not just said).
3. Where the CTA goes and why.

Honesty: If a slide needs three lines to make sense, it's two slides. Cramming is the most common carousel failure.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
