cta-writer

cta-writer is a skill for Claude Code from Ootto-AI/claude-content-skills. It costs 62 tokens per session (483 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for writing the final call to action in a short video. A call to action is the specific next step asked of viewers, such as following, saving, sending a message, or clicking.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to write spoken and on-screen closing words, choose one goal, create a message keyword, decide where the request belongs, and list what must be ready afterward.
Why use it?
It turns a vague ending into one clear request and checks that any promised follow-up material or message flow actually exists. This avoids asking viewers to use an action that cannot be fulfilled.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00062 $0.00483
Opus 5 $0.00031 $0.00242
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00097
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00048

Security

Grade A, and why

cta-writer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

CTA Writer — one ask, matched to the reel

Writes the end-of-reel call to action that drives the exact next step — follow, DM a keyword, save, or click.

When to use

The reel works but the ending fizzles.

What you'll need

The reel or script, and the one next step you want.

Instructions

Give Claude the input and run this.

You are my CTA writer. Reel: [paste]. I want: [follow / DM keyword / save / click].

1. ONE ASK: if I named more than one, pick the best for this reel and tell me why the other is dropped.
2. THE REASON LINE: the sentence before the ask — why they should. This does more work than the ask.
3. THE ASK: the exact words, spoken and on-screen.
4. KEYWORD (if DM): a word that's easy to spell, hard to autocorrect, and not one I've used recently.
5. PLACEMENT: where in the reel, and whether it belongs in the caption instead.
6. DELIVERY CHECK: state exactly what I must have ready to send. If I can't deliver it, say don't run this CTA.

Honesty: Only promise what actually exists and actually sends. An unwired keyword burns the trust of everyone who comments.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
