virtuoso-rdf-bulk-loader

virtuoso-rdf-bulk-loader is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from OpenLinkSoftware/ai-agent-skills. It costs 110 tokens per session (1,085 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool that generates SQL scripts for importing RDF files from a local folder into Virtuoso. Virtuoso is a linked-data database, and RDF files describe entities and relationships in formats such as Turtle, N-Triples, RDF/XML, or JSON-LD.

In plain words
What is it for?
Generating ready-to-run import scripts, loading mixed or compressed RDF files, selecting file patterns, assigning graph IRIs, reloading per-file data, and clearing graphs before loading.
Why use it?
It prepares the repetitive loader commands from the folder and import settings, so the resulting script can be run with Virtuoso's SQL client. It supports either one graph for a directory or a separate named graph for each file.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00110 $0.01085
Opus 5 $0.00055 $0.00543
Sonnet 5 $0.00022 $0.00217
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00109

Security

Grade A, and why

virtuoso-rdf-bulk-loader scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/generate-bulk-load-sql.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Virtuoso RDF Bulk Loader — isql loader generation from a source folder

Generate a ready-to-run isql .sql from a local folder of RDF files. Two modes:

Mode Mechanism Use for
dir (default) ld_dir + rdf_loader_run — one named graph for the whole folder; Virtuoso auto-detects format (N-Triples, Turtle, RDF/XML, N-Quads, TriG, JSON-LD, Notation3) and reads gzip/bzip2 natively Simple bulk ingestion, mixed formats, compressed archives
per-file TTLP_MT — one named graph per file (Turtle family: .ttl, .nt, .trig), optional auto prefix-preamble and CLEAR-before-load Exact per-document graphs (e.g. an agent memory store), re-loadable deltas

Workflow

  1. Elicit (never guess): source folder (must be accessible to the Virtuoso server processld_dir registers server-side paths), target graph IRI (dir mode), file pattern or format list.
  2. Generate:
    python3 scripts/generate-bulk-load-sql.py \
      --source-dir /path/to/rdf/ \
      --graph https://example.com/my-graph \
      --pattern '*.ttl' \
      --out bulk-load.sql

  3. Run (your credentials, never displayed):
    isql 1111 dba <dba-password> -f bulk-load.sql

  4. Monitor (the generated script ends with the load_list check):
    select * from db.dba.load_list where ll_state <> 2;

    ll_state 2 = done; rows remaining = still pending/errored (ll_error column).
  5. Verify (generated script ends with per-graph counts):
    SPARQL SELECT ?g (COUNT(*) AS ?t) WHERE { GRAPH ?g { ?s ?p ?o } } GROUP BY ?g;

Options (generate-bulk-load-sql.py)

Flag Default Meaning
--source-dir (required) Folder containing the RDF files (server-visible path)
--graph urn:dav:/DAV/home/kidehen/bulk-load/ Target named graph (dir mode)
--pattern *.* ld_dir pattern, e.g. *.ttl, *.nt.gz, *.nq
--formats Shorthand expanding to patterns, e.g. ttl,nt,nq
--mode dir dir (ld_dir) or per-file (TTLP_MT per document)
--graph-base urn:dav:/DAV/home/kidehen/bulk-load/ IRI prefix for per-file graphs (file relpath appended)
--preamble off per-file mode: prepend store-wide prefix union so prefix-undeclared Turtle loads
--clear off Emit SPARQL CLEAR GRAPH before loading (idempotent re-runs)
--out bulk-load.sql Output path
--dry-run off Print the script instead of writing

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

virtuoso-rdf-bulk-loader is a skill published in the GitHub repository OpenLinkSoftware/ai-agent-skills (38 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 110 tokens to every session and 1,085 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
