hyperframes-cli

A command-line toolkit for creating, checking, previewing, and rendering HyperFrames content, including web pages, audio, and video. A command-line tool is software operated by typing commands in a terminal.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to initialize, lint, preview, render, transcribe, or generate speech, render Minis pages, and turn a website into a finished MP4 video.
Why use it?
It brings the related rendering steps into one workflow and checks whether required tools such as browser control and FFmpeg are available. FFmpeg is software commonly used to process and encode media files.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00129 $0.03640
Opus 5 $0.00064 $0.01820
Sonnet 5 $0.00026 $0.00728
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00364

Measured 2d ago against content hash 11adac60aaf1, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

hyperframes-cli scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 3 executable files (hf-render.py, scripts/check-env.py, scripts/install-skill.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

HyperFrames CLI

Environment Check (Run First)

Before any task, verify the environment is ready:

python3 /var/minis/skills/hyperframes-cli/scripts/check-env.py

This checks:

  • minis-browser-use — built-in Minis tool for browser control (required for rendering and preview)
  • ffmpeg — video encoding
  • hyperframes skill — composition authoring
  • hyperframes-cli skill — this skill itself (hf-render.py)

If anything is missing, run with --fix to auto-install:

python3 /var/minis/skills/hyperframes-cli/scripts/check-env.py --fix

Or install a specific skill manually:

# From heygen-com/hyperframes (HyperFrames skills)
python3 /var/minis/skills/hyperframes-cli/scripts/install-skill.py \
  hyperframes --repo heygen-com/hyperframes --subdir skills

# From OpenMinis/MinisSkills (community skills)
python3 /var/minis/skills/hyperframes-cli/scripts/install-skill.py notion-hub

If minis-browser-use is missing: it is a Minis built-in tool. Update Minis App to the latest version — it ships with the app and cannot be installed separately.

After installing missing skills, restart the conversation for them to take effect.

Everything runs through npx hyperframes. Requires Node.js >= 22 and FFmpeg.

Workflow

  1. Scaffoldnpx hyperframes init my-video
  2. Write — author HTML composition (see the hyperframes skill)
  3. Lintnpx hyperframes lint
  4. Previewnpx hyperframes preview
  5. Rendernpx hyperframes render

Lint before preview — catches missing data-composition-id, overlapping tracks, unregistered timelines.

Scaffolding

npx hyperframes init my-video # interactive wizard
npx hyperframes init my-video --example warm-grain # pick an example
npx hyperframes init my-video --video clip.mp4 # with video file
npx hyperframes init my-video --audio track.mp3 # with audio file
npx hyperframes init my-video --non-interactive # skip prompts (CI/agents)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

hyperframes-cli is a skill published in the GitHub repository OpenMinis/MinisSkills (390 stars, last pushed 13d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 129 tokens to every session and 3,640 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
