memos-api

memos-api is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from OpenMinis/MinisSkills. It costs 89 tokens per session (599 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions and examples for calling the Memos API, a web interface for creating, reading, updating, and managing notes called memos.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list, create, update, and download memos, manage attachments and activities, and write ready-to-run curl or Python requests.
Why use it?
It removes guesswork around authentication, filtering, pagination, partial updates, and the API's common endpoints.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00089 $0.00599
Opus 5 $0.00044 $0.00300
Sonnet 5 $0.00018 $0.00120
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00060

Security

Grade A, and why

memos-api scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What it actually says

Memos API Skill

When to use

  • User wants to call Memos API, build curl/python examples, or debug responses
  • Needs memo CRUD, attachments, activities, auth/identity providers, or list/filter/pagination
  • Needs batch download scripts or reference docs for endpoints

How to use

  1. Require base URL and bearer token (env var recommended). Do not print secret values.
  2. For list endpoints: support pageSize, pageToken, and filter (AIP-160) if available.
  3. For updates: use updateMask=field1,field2 when partial updates are supported.
  4. Return ready-to-run curl examples; optionally include python requests snippet.
  5. If user needs full endpoint details, load reference file references/memos-api-reference.md.

Quick curl templates

  • List memos (example):
    curl -s -H "Authorization: Bearer $MEMOS_TOKEN" \
         "$MEMOS_BASE/api/v1/memos?pageSize=20"

  • Create memo:
    curl -s -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
         -H "Authorization: Bearer $MEMOS_TOKEN" \
         "$MEMOS_BASE/api/v1/memos" \
         -d '{"content":"hello"}'

  • Update memo (partial):
    curl -s -X PATCH -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
         -H "Authorization: Bearer $MEMOS_TOKEN" \
         "$MEMOS_BASE/api/v1/memos/$MEMO_ID?updateMask=content" \
         -d '{"content":"updated"}'

  • List attachments:
    curl -s -H "Authorization: Bearer $MEMOS_TOKEN" \
         "$MEMOS_BASE/api/v1/attachments?pageSize=20"

Bundled references

  • references/memos-api-reference.md — full scraped API reference (all services/endpoints).

Notes

  • Keep responses concise; link to reference when detailed schemas are needed.
  • Use placeholders/env vars ($MEMOS_BASE, $MEMOS_TOKEN, $MEMO_ID) and avoid leaking secrets.
  • Prefer curl -s and JSON bodies; add headers only as required.
Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

memos-api is a skill published in the GitHub repository OpenMinis/MinisSkills (396 stars, last pushed 16d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 89 tokens to every session and 599 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
