RIPDPI: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/release-signing/SKILL.md

release-signing is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from po4yka/RIPDPI. It costs 46 tokens per session (1,624 once invoked), scanned A, original, BSD-3-Clause.

Reference material for configuring Android release signing and version numbers. Signing attaches a developer-controlled digital identity to an app so Android can verify its source during updates.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing release signing settings, environment variables, version numbers, R8 rules, or the release build flow.
Why use it?
It explains where signing values come from and how release workflows connect candidate builds, tags, and publishing, reducing configuration and versioning mistakes.

This is po4yka/RIPDPI's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on RIPDPI itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything RIPDPI configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00046 $0.01624
Opus 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00650
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00325
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00162

Security

Grade A, and why

release-signing scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 135 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Release Signing

End-to-end release pipeline: signing config, R8/ProGuard, versioning, artifact naming.

Release flow: manually dispatch .github/workflows/release-candidate.yml for an exact main SHA, then push the matching v* tag to trigger .github/workflows/release.yml, which promotes the immutable candidate.

Signing Configuration

Four environment variables, read via Gradle providers in app/build.gradle.kts:

Variable Purpose
RIPDPI_SIGNING_STORE_FILE Path to decoded keystore file
RIPDPI_SIGNING_STORE_PASSWORD Keystore password
RIPDPI_SIGNING_KEY_ALIAS Key alias within the keystore
RIPDPI_SIGNING_KEY_PASSWORD Key password

Lookup order: app/build.gradle.kts resolves each signing value through a localOrEnv(propKey, envKey) helper in the signingConfigs { } block: it reads local.properties first (keys signing.storeFile, signing.storePassword, signing.keyAlias, signing.keyPassword), falling back to the matching environment variable only when the property is absent. The release signing config is created only when the resolved store-file path is non-null -- a build with neither source configured skips signing.

CI flow: the keystore is stored as base64 in GitHub secret KEYSTORE_BASE64; release-candidate.yml decodes it to a temp file and exports RIPDPI_SIGNING_STORE_FILE (and the matching password/alias variables) so localOrEnv() resolves them from the environment. release.yml never touches the keystore -- it only promotes an already-signed candidate.

Never commit keystores to the repository.

R8 / ProGuard Rules

Three layers of rules, evaluated together at build time:

File Purpose
app/proguard-rules.pro App-level rules (intentionally minimal -- relies on library consumer rules)
core/data/consumer-rules.pro Preserves protobuf lite classes: com.poyka.ripdpi.proto.**
core/engine/consumer-rules.pro Preserves each JNI binding class with -keepclasseswithmembernames, plus a couple of by-name-callback keep blocks; see the file for the current entries

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

release-signing is a skill published in the GitHub repository po4yka/RIPDPI (85 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed BSD-3-Clause. It adds 46 tokens to every session and 1,624 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-07.
