qa-regression

qa-regression is a skill for Claude Code from pwdev-solucoes/pwdev-claude-marketplace. It costs 23 tokens per session (1,566 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An impact-based regression plan that selects existing checks according to the changes that could affect them. Regression testing means checking that changes have not broken behaviour that already worked.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after code, configuration, dependency, interface, or data changes to choose checks for affected components, user journeys, roles, and environments.
Why use it?
It avoids choosing tests merely because they are convenient or already available. Every included and excluded check has a recorded reason and limitation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00023 $0.01566
Opus 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00626
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00313
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00157

Security

Grade A, and why

qa-regression scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Plan impact-based regression

Select regression checks from reachable change impact, not from convenience or the tests that happen to be available. Preserve the governing contract and make every inclusion and exclusion auditable. Read workflow, safety, artifacts, and evidence first.

Inputs

  • Project root, target/environment/build identity, explicit objective or intent, identified contract source/hash, and the complete supplied criterion catalog with original IDs and text.
  • Explicit change set with stable change IDs, affected components, interfaces, data, configuration, dependencies, roles, environments, and user journeys.
  • Risks, prior incidents and defects, existing checks with stable case IDs, expected observable results, attempt history, prerequisites, cost, tool probes, and evidence needs.
  • Explicit authorization for this write operation and the preserved authorization boundary for any proposed execution. Load, penetration, production, and external effects require separate, exact authorization before execution.

Procedure

  1. Preserve the explicit objective or intent, target, contract, criterion IDs/text, change IDs, existing state, approvals, and authorization exactly. Do not infer a complete change map, criterion catalog, approval, or execution permission.
  2. Identify affected surfaces and consult the installed applicable qa-specialist-* skills, starting with qa-specialist-regression; consult qa-specialist-defects, requirements, functional, API, Web, mobile, data, security, performance, automation, CI/CD, or production specialists only when their surfaces are present. An unavailable applicable specialist is a limitation. Specialist guidance does not expand authorization.
  3. Trace direct and transitive impact through components, interfaces, stored data, roles, error paths, supported environments, and journeys. Materialize each relation with a change ID, impact ID, risk ID, criterion ID, prior defect ID when applicable, and stable case ID; use an explicit none plus rationale only when a relation legitimately has no defect or criterion.
  4. Rank each impact by likelihood, consequence, blast radius, reversibility, and history. Select by impact with a stated rationale or justification, including applicable positive, negative, boundary, recovery, integration, and unchanged-control checks.
  5. Record selected and excluded case IDs separately. For every inclusion and exclusion, preserve its complete change-to-risk/criterion/defect-to-case trace, expected oracle, prerequisite, evidence need, cost, and reason. Convenience, familiarity, availability, or a prior green result never replaces impact and cannot justify omitting a higher-impact path.
  6. Classify each prerequisite and tool from observed probes as available, missing, or unverified. Missing traceability, a material unassessed impact, an unsafe or absent oracle, or unavailable required coverage remains BLOCKED; never substitute a non-equivalent check.
  7. Preserve existing attempts and current defects, then apply verdict precedence. A proven current in-scope failure, including an unlinked defect, is FAIL; otherwise a pending impact, check, prerequisite, or evidence gap is BLOCKED. A plan is not execution evidence and cannot manufacture PASS.
  8. Return the selection without executing tests. A later authorized workflow may execute it; qa_report.py report --manifest PATH --project-root PATH is a later inert export and the report does not execute or re-run tests.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

qa-regression is a skill published in the GitHub repository pwdev-solucoes/pwdev-claude-marketplace (3 stars, last pushed 10d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 23 tokens to every session and 1,566 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-16.
