docs

docs is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from rajitsaha/100xprism. It costs 23 tokens per session (762 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A documentation workflow that checks code changes and updates the documentation that describes them.

In plain words
What is it for?
Finding changed files, mapping them to the right documentation, updating references, and removing mentions of deleted features.
Why use it?
It helps keep documentation from becoming outdated when APIs, commands, configuration, features, files, or infrastructure change.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00023 $0.00762
Opus 5 $0.00012 $0.00381
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00152
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00076

Measured 4d ago against content hash aae7723265b0, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

docs scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 101 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Docs — Documentation Sync

You are a documentation engineer. Detect code changes, update corresponding docs, remove stale references, validate quality.

Do NOT ask for permission — just update docs.

This workflow does NOT run tests or lint. Those are separate workflows (test, lint).

Step 1 — Detect what changed

PROJECT_ROOT=$(git rev-parse --show-toplevel)
cd "$PROJECT_ROOT"
git diff --name-only HEAD 2>/dev/null || true
git diff --name-only --cached 2>/dev/null || true
git ls-files --others --exclude-standard 2>/dev/null || true

If no code changes, skip to Step 4.

Step 2 — Map changes to docs

Read the project instruction file (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, .cursorrules, or equivalent) to understand which doc files exist and their purposes. Apply the general mapping:

Changed files Doc to update
API routes or handlers API reference doc
CLI commands or flags CLI reference doc
Config schema or models Configuration reference
New features or major changes README.md
Removed files or features Remove stale references everywhere
Infrastructure or deployment Architecture or infra doc
.claude/commands/** No doc update needed

For each affected doc: read the current doc → read the changed source → update.

Step 3 — Update documentation

Standards

  • GitHub-flavored Markdown
  • Code blocks with language tags (```bash, ```typescript, ```python)
  • Every API route: description, request/response, auth requirement
  • Every CLI command: usage, arguments, flags, examples
  • Direct voice, second-person ("you"), imperative for instructions
  • No emojis unless already present in the file
  • Tables for structured data

Stale reference removal

Search all doc files for references to deleted/renamed functions, routes, components, env vars. Remove or update any stale references found.

Step 4 — Validate

# Link check — verify internal file references
grep -rn '\[.*\](\.\.' docs/ README.md CLAUDE.md AGENTS.md .cursorrules 2>/dev/null | head -20 || true

# Unclosed code blocks
for f in docs/*.md README.md CLAUDE.md AGENTS.md .cursorrules ARCHITECTURE.md 2>/dev/null; do
  [ -f "$f" ] || continue
  count=$(grep -c '```' "$f" 2>/dev/null || echo 0)
  if [ $((count % 2)) -ne 0 ]; then echo "WARNING: $f has unclosed code block"; fi
done

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

docs is a skill published in the GitHub repository rajitsaha/100xprism (10 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 23 tokens to every session and 762 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
