github-issue-resolution-reviewer

github-issue-resolution-reviewer is a skill for Claude Code from richfrem/agent-plugins-skills. It costs 135 tokens per session (813 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only reviewer of closed GitHub issues marked as fixed or superseded. It checks the original fix, test and CI evidence, and related project debt to decide whether the underlying problem was really resolved.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to audit resolved issues, classify them as confirmed resolved, recurring, or inconclusive, and present the supporting evidence without changing repository records.
Why use it?
A closed issue does not always mean the root cause is fixed. This review can identify recurring friction or mark a case inconclusive when the evidence is insufficient.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00135 $0.00813
Opus 5.5 $0.00054 $0.00325
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00027 $0.00163
Haiku 4.5 $0.00014 $0.00081

Security

Grade A, and why

github-issue-resolution-reviewer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

GitHub Issue Resolution Reviewer (github-issue-resolution-reviewer)

Audits closed repository issues labeled resolution:fixed or resolution:superseded to verify whether root causes were genuinely fixed or recurred.

Contents

Critical Constraints

  1. Read-Only Audit: Never reopen an issue, mutate labels, or file new issues autonomously.
  2. Deduplication Search: Before proposing new issues for recurring friction, search existing issues.
  3. Honest Inconclusive Verdicts: Classify as INCONCLUSIVE when empirical evidence is insufficient.

Quick start

List recent closed and resolved issues:

gh issue list --state closed --label "resolution:fixed" --limit 10

Workflow

  1. Collect Resolved Issues: Query issues with resolution:fixed or resolution:superseded.
  2. Inspect Fix & Map Debt: Review fix PR commits, CI test logs, and references/map-debt.md.
  3. Classify: Assign CONFIRMED_RESOLVED, RECURRING_FRICTION, or INCONCLUSIVE.
  4. Produce Audit Table: Present findings (Issue # | Title | Classification | Evidence).
  5. Human Gate: If recurring friction is detected, ask user before reopening or logging consolidation issues.

This skill closes the loop on the dev-utils GitHub issue family. It only reads; the others act.

Skill Role Hand off when
github-issue-agent Logs friction and bugs as deduplicated issues Recurring friction needs a new or consolidated issue (after the human gate)
github-issue-backlog-agent Promotes local tasks/*.md items into issues A finding is still only a local task note
github-issue-prioritizer Ranks issues P0-P3 and syncs priority fields A recurring issue needs re-ranking
github-issue-worktree-agent Creates and cleans .worktrees/issue-NNN A reopened issue needs an isolated workspace
github-issue-pr-lifecycle-agent Runs issue to worktree to PR to closure A reopened issue needs to be fixed again

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
