Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00035 $0.01035
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00517
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00207
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00103

Security

Grade A, and why

content-research-writer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 157 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Content Research Writer

Build useful prose from a traceable research base. Keep verified facts, source interpretation, and the writer's own argument clearly separated.

Runtime Compatibility

  • Use the research and file tools available in the active runtime.
  • Resolve workspace files from the user's stated project path.
  • Confirm network and source access before promising current citations.
  • Preserve existing drafts and user edits unless replacement is explicitly requested.

Establish The Brief

Infer available details, then fill only material gaps:

  • topic and central question;
  • intended audience;
  • purpose and publication format;
  • target length and deadline;
  • voice or writing samples;
  • citation style;
  • required, preferred, or excluded sources.

Record uncertain assumptions before research begins.

Research Workflow

  1. Create research questions

    • Convert the topic into a short list of claims the piece must establish.
    • Add questions for context, counterarguments, examples, and practical impact.
  2. Choose sources

    • Prefer primary material for factual and technical claims.
    • Use reputable synthesis for context and competing interpretations.
    • Check publication date, authorship, methodology, and conflicts of interest.
  3. Build a source ledger

| ID | Source | Claim Supported | Evidence | Limits | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S1 | [title and locator] | [claim] | [fact or short note] | [caveat] | verified |

Do not put a source in the final reference list unless it was opened and used.

  1. Resolve conflicts

    • Compare definitions, dates, sample populations, and measurement methods.
    • Report meaningful disagreement instead of selecting a convenient number.
  2. Stop when evidence is sufficient

    • Each major factual claim has support.
    • Important counterevidence is represented.
    • Additional searching is unlikely to change the structure or conclusion.

Writing Workflow

  1. Thesis
    • State the article's central answer in one or two sentences.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
