b2c-edge-traffic-triage

b2c-edge-traffic-triage is a skill for Claude Code from SalesforceCommerceCloud/b2c-developer-tooling. It costs 83 tokens per session (1,298 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A procedure for investigating bots, scrapers, crawlers, and abusive traffic reaching a B2C Commerce storefront through its content delivery network. It reviews traffic evidence and existing firewall, web-application firewall, and rate-limit protections without authorising changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to identify harmful edge traffic, inspect security controls, correlate traffic with storefront symptoms, and prepare a proposed rule change for approval.
Why use it?
Automated traffic can overload a storefront, scrape content, or abuse logins and baskets, while an overly broad block can harm real customers. This separates evidence gathering from approving a narrowly scoped response.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00083 $0.01298
Opus 5.5 $0.00033 $0.00519
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00017 $0.00260
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00130

Security

Grade A, and why

b2c-edge-traffic-triage scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Outcome: identify which automated traffic matters, whether current edge protections cover it, and a proposed, approved next step. Inspection never authorizes blocking, challenging, or changing zone settings.

Scope and impact

Resolve the instance with config_inspect (CLI: b2c setup inspect). List the tenant's zones first and focus on production storefront zones; ask when the target zone is ambiguous. Include the SCAPI zone (<realm>.api.commercecloud.salesforce.com) for headless storefronts, SLAS login/token abuse, or API symptoms; storefront zones do not see that traffic. Use a fixed UTC window (propose the last 7 days if none is given) and record the symptom: origin load or errors, scraping, login or token abuse, basket/inventory abuse, or a routine review. Record impact and owner; follow the team's incident process for live customer impact.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
