Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00059 | $0.01453 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00024 | $0.00581 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00291 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00145 |
Grade A, and why
manim-animator scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 108 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Manim Animator
Turn an explanation into reproducible Manim source code and a verified video. Draw equations, diagrams, charts, and transitions locally; use SandBase only for generative media that Manim cannot produce itself.
Read the SandBase API map before generating any image or audio asset.
Route the request
Use Manim when the value comes from exact geometry, mathematical notation, deterministic timing, reproducible diagrams, or a step-by-step conceptual explanation. Prefer another workflow when the main deliverable is:
- photoreal or cinematic generated footage;
- conventional timeline editing of supplied footage;
- a static chart or diagram with no meaningful animation;
- an avatar or talking-head presentation.
Translate named stylistic references into concrete traits such as dark background, minimal palette, hand-drawn-feeling curves, spatial transformations, or deliberate pacing. Do not promise an exact imitation of a creator's identity.
Preflight
Inspect the current project before creating files:
- determine whether it already uses Manim Community or ManimGL and do not mix their APIs;
- check the installed Python and Manim versions, renderer, FFmpeg, and LaTeX availability;
- preserve the project's existing environment and dependency manager;
- identify output resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio, duration, codec, and caption requirements.
Default to Manim Community for a new project unless the request specifically depends on ManimGL behavior. Do not install system packages, change global environments, or add optional plugins without user authorization. If required tooling is unavailable, return the source and an exact dependency plan instead of claiming a render succeeded.
Plan scenes
For more than one short idea, create a compact scene plan before coding:
| Field | Record |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Question or idea the scene resolves |
| Duration | Target seconds, or measured narration duration |
| Objects | Equations, labels, shapes, axes, graphs, images, and camera elements |
| State changes | What appears, transforms, moves, highlights, or disappears |
| Explanation | Narration or on-screen text associated with each beat |
| Continuity | Objects and visual state carried into the next scene |
| Technical needs | 2D/3D scene type, LaTeX, updater, plugin, raster asset, or audio |
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

manim-animator is a skill published in the GitHub repository sandbaseai/sandbase-skills (201 stars, last pushed 21d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 59 tokens to every session and 1,453 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-27.
Other skills, from other repositories
sqd-chemistry
A small quantum-chemistry calculation for an H2 molecule using the STO-3G basis, a simplified representation of atomic orbitals. It samples a reduced space, estimates its energy, and compares it with full configuration interaction, an exact calculation within the same small model.
quantum-ground-state
A narrowly defined quantum solver for the ground-state energy of a two-quantum-bit Pauli Hamiltonian in a specified one-excitation sector. It uses a noiseless statevector VQE and checks the result against an exact calculation; VQE is a method that searches for a low-energy quantum state.
quantum-amplitude-estimation
A local Qiskit workflow for amplitude estimation, a quantum method for estimating the size or probability of a selected outcome. It can explain the method, build a circuit, or run a simulator calculation.
quantum-cartan
A local implementation of a Cartan decomposition for real symmetric Hamiltonian matrices. A Hamiltonian is a matrix describing a system's energy or time evolution; the implementation uses SciPy's Schur decomposition to split it into useful parts.
quantum-discrete-log
A local quantum implementation of the discrete logarithm problem: finding an exponent in a modular power relationship. It uses a reversible oracle, Fourier sampling over a cyclic group, and congruences to recover the exponent.
quantum-finite-difference
A Qiskit method for estimating gradients with central finite differences. It changes a parameter slightly in both directions and uses the two results to approximate how an observable changes.
