automation-pilot-executions-api

automation-pilot-executions-api is a skill for Claude Code from SAP/automation-pilot-agent-skills. It costs 42 tokens per session (3,859 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A guide for controlling SAP Automation Pilot command runs through its API. An API is a way for software to start jobs, check their status, read logs, or control them without using the web interface.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to trigger executions, track their lifecycle, retrieve logs, pause or abort runs, and troubleshoot errors.
Why use it?
It provides a clear way to monitor runs and investigate failures, including runs that are paused, waiting for input, or canceled.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00042 $0.03859
Opus 5 $0.00021 $0.01929
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00772
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00386

Security

Grade A, and why

automation-pilot-executions-api scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

SAP Automation Pilot Executions API Management

This skill manages command executions in SAP Automation Pilot - triggering, monitoring, controlling, and troubleshooting executions.

Prerequisites

  1. Set the following required environment variables:
export AUTOPI_HOSTNAME="emea.autopilot.cloud.sap"
export AUTOPI_USERNAME="your-username"
export AUTOPI_PASSWORD="your-password"
export AUTOPI_DEFAULT_CATALOG="mycommands-<<<TENANT_ID>>>"
  1. Ensure curl is available in your environment.

Execution Lifecycle

Statuses

Status Description Active or Terminal
RUNNING Execution is currently running. During delays (initial delay, retry backoff, repeat interval) the execution stays RUNNING while individual executors show their delay reason. Active
PAUSED Manually paused — must be resumed to continue. Active
INPUT_REQUIRED Waiting for a user choice (Confirm action required). Active
FAILED Failed due to an error or failed validation. Can be retried or reset. Active
FINISHED Completed successfully. Terminal
ABORTED Canceled by the user. Terminal
SUSPENDED Canceled by Automation Pilot (runtime limit exceeded, tenant execution limit reached, or execution/output size limit exceeded). Terminal

Terminal statuses (FINISHED, ABORTED, SUSPENDED) mean the execution is complete and no further actions can be applied. Completed executions can be retriggered and deleted.

Active statuses (RUNNING, PAUSED, INPUT_REQUIRED, FAILED) mean the execution is still live and can be acted upon.

Actions

Each action is only valid from specific statuses — applying an action from the wrong status returns HTTP 409.

Action Valid from Result
PAUSE RUNNING PAUSED
RESUME PAUSED RUNNING
RETRY FAILED RUNNING. Re-attempts the execution, preserving progress for provided composite commands.
RESET FAILED, PAUSED, INPUT_REQUIRED RUNNING from a chosen previous child command. Not available for direct executions of provided commands. For provided composite commands, starts the whole command from the beginning (unlike RETRY which preserves progress).
ABORT PAUSED, FAILED ABORTED
COMMENT Any Adds a comment to the execution's Action Log (max 10 comments per execution).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
