Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00077 | $0.01485 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00039 | $0.00743 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00015 | $0.00297 |

Grade A, and why
typography scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 134 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Typography
Apply proven typographic thinking to each project's unique voice. The realness design system is the trusted elder - draw from its decisions as validated patterns, not as rules to copy.
Starting a client project
Before picking a font or ratio, understand:
- Voice - formal or approachable, dense or airy, editorial or functional?
- Content type - long-form prose, UI labels, marketing, data?
- Performance constraints - self-hosted or CDN, budget for font files?
- Existing brand - is there a font already? What does it say?
Then build the system in this order: baseline unit -> modular scale -> fluid range -> font choice. Don't start with the font.
The baseline unit
Everything derives from one unit (mechanics: useless, Spacing). Pick the value for the client's density:
1.25rem- tighter, denser, more corporate1.333rem- realness default, balanced editorial1.5rem- looser, more generous, consumer-friendly
Modular scale
| Ratio | Name | Character |
|---|---|---|
| 1.125 | Major Second | Quiet, functional, dense UI |
| 1.200 | Minor Third | Balanced, versatile, most web content |
| 1.250 | Major Third | Clear hierarchy, marketing |
| 1.333 | Perfect Fourth | Strong, editorial |
| 1.414 | Augmented Fourth | Dramatic, expressive |
A fluid range scales the ratio itself with the viewport (realness: 1.25 -> 1.414) - quiet hierarchy on mobile, dramatic on wide screens, no breakpoints. Pick a range for the client's voice: a law firm might stay fixed at 1.2; a creative studio might range 1.333 -> 1.618.
Fluid type
Implementation (the clamp() slope math and its bound-order gotcha) lives in useless's TYPE_SCALE_RECIPE.md. The judgment call this skill owns: slope-intercept calc() when you want the breakpoints legible in the source, clamp() shorthand when you're eyeballing.
Heading treatment
Realness's defaults (weight 300, tight tracking, line-height 1 - see useless) are a strong client starting point: light + tight works because the scale provides the size contrast. If the client's brand is bolder, adjust weight before scale - 300 to 400 is usually enough.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

typography is a skill published in the GitHub repository scott-fryxell/brayness (120 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 77 tokens to every session and 1,485 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
