seed: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/testing-seed-web/SKILL.md

Testing Seed web app (collection/query UI) is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from seed-hypermedia/seed. It costs 29 tokens per session (947 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A procedure for running end-to-end browser tests against the Seed web app’s collection and query features. End-to-end tests check a user flow through the running application.

In plain words
What is it for?
Building the required services, starting a fixture test environment, and checking collection pages, query blocks, and shared query-block behavior in a browser.
Why use it?
It provides a repeatable way to verify these web features and documents which authenticated editing flows cannot run in the available browser setup.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00029 $0.00947
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00474
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00189
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00095

Security

Grade A, and why

Testing Seed web app (collection/query UI) scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Testing Seed web app (collection/query UI)

When to use

Use this skill when verifying the Seed web app's collection pages, query blocks, or shared QueryBlockContent component end-to-end.

Devin Secrets Needed

None for the fixture-account read-only path. Authenticated editing requires an account whose signing keys are available in the test environment; this machine's Chrome does not support Web Crypto Ed25519, so publish/draft-flow UI cannot be exercised in the browser.

One-time per session

  1. Build the daemon if plz-out/bin/backend/seed-daemon-* is missing:
    • ./pleasew build //backend/cmd/seed-daemon (or equivalent for your platform).
  2. Build the web app if frontend/apps/web/build is missing or stale:
    • cd frontend/apps/web && pnpm --filter @shm/web build
    • The build embeds VITE_COMMIT_HASH; confirm it matches the commit under test.
  3. Start the integration test environment:
    • bun tests/integration/seed-collection-ui.ts seeds a fixture account with /collection, /collection/alpha, /collection/beta, and /query-demo.
    • It spawns seed-daemon, builds the web app, and serves it on http://localhost:3399.
    • Data dirs are created under /tmp/seed-integration-*.

Fixture manipulation

  • The fixture account DID is z6MkhMSRCyK9KkAzTmzTKSfuNMaEuYZUJacWmbqiHYkCQgSW.
  • Use bun tests/integration/update-style.ts (or a temporary copy) with createDocumentUpdate from frontend/apps/cli/src/test/account-helpers.ts to mutate a document's query block style (Table/List/Card) without needing browser auth.
  • For a collection document, query.includes should be [{space:"", path:"", mode:"Children"}] to match createDefaultCollectionQueryBlock semantics.

Useful UI selectors

  • Collection header: [aria-label="Search documents"], buttons Filter, Sort, Attributes.
  • View toggle: button text Table, List, Cards (note: no Graph).
  • Query settings: button[aria-label="Query settings"].
  • Filter popover: button text Add filter, input[aria-label="Filter value"].
  • Sort popover: button Asc/Desc.
  • Attributes popover: switches with column labels.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

Testing Seed web app (collection/query UI) is a skill published in the GitHub repository seed-hypermedia/seed (56 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 29 tokens to every session and 947 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-04.
