domain-knowledge-cards

domain-knowledge-cards is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from sillyDaibo/reasflow-dev. It costs 29 tokens per session (443 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workspace-based research tool for finding existing knowledge cards and creating new ones from arXiv papers. arXiv is an online repository where researchers share scientific papers, often before formal publication.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it during algorithm or experiment work to search local research notes and add cards about papers that affect method or experiment decisions.
Why use it?
It keeps important technical background in reusable local files instead of relying on memory or scattered searches.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is if [ -d ./.agents/skills ]; then.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00029 $0.00443
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00221
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00089
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00044

Security

Grade A, and why

domain-knowledge-cards scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (scripts/create-knowledge-card-from-arxiv.py, scripts/search-domain-knowledge.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Domain Knowledge Cards

Overview

Treat domain knowledge as a local artifact set, not a vague memory. Search existing cards first, then generate new workspace-local cards from arXiv only for papers that materially affect method or experiment decisions.

Helper Scripts

  • SKILL_ROOT="$REASFLOW_SKILLS_ROOT/domain-knowledge-cards"
  • python "$SKILL_ROOT/scripts/search-domain-knowledge.py" --root Alg_Exp/src/domain_knowledge --query "variance reduced decentralized optimization" --top-k 5
  • python "$SKILL_ROOT/scripts/create-knowledge-card-from-arxiv.py" --query "decentralized variance reduction" --max-results 3 --output-dir Alg_Exp/src/domain_knowledge

Workflow

  1. Search existing workspace-local cards before creating new ones.
  2. Generate cards only for papers that inform the active algorithm or experiment question.
  3. Keep generated YAML under src/domain_knowledge/ or another explicit workspace-local card directory.
  4. Record which cards were reused versus newly generated from arXiv.

Deliverables

  • ranked local card shortlist with exact file paths
  • generated YAML cards with title, method, evidence, baselines, and limitations
  • note on which experiment or design choice each card informs
Files

What ships with it

2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

domain-knowledge-cards is a skill published in the GitHub repository sillyDaibo/reasflow-dev (2 stars, last pushed 11d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 29 tokens to every session and 443 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
