israeli-bookkeeping-automation

israeli-bookkeeping-automation is a skill for Claude Code from skills-il/accounting. It costs 162 tokens per session (8,285 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A bookkeeping helper for Israeli businesses that drafts double-entry journal entries, meaning each transaction is recorded in matching debit and credit accounts. It covers examples such as payroll, VAT, asset depreciation, and revenue recognition.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to prepare illustrative journal entries for Israeli transactions, including payroll components, VAT, depreciation, and revenue timing.
Why use it?
It helps organise business transactions into accounting entries and explain the figures involved. The output is an automatic draft, not a filed return, tax opinion, or substitute for an accountant.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00162 $0.08285
Opus 5 $0.00081 $0.04143
Sonnet 5 $0.00032 $0.01657

Security

Grade A, and why

israeli-bookkeeping-automation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Israeli Bookkeeping Automation

This is a free information tool operated by an AI model. It explains the tax rules and helps you organise your own figures. All of its outputs are produced automatically by an AI model, with no involvement, review, or approval by a tax adviser or accountant. The output is not a tax opinion, not a return prepared by a licensed representative, and not professional advice, but a general calculation and explanation only: it does not examine the full extent of your income or your complete documents. An AI model may err, omit data, or present a wrong conclusion.

Any form or text this tool produces is an automatic draft for your personal preparation only, and is not a filed return. Responsibility for reporting and for paying the tax is yours, the binding computation is the Tax Authority's, and representation before the Tax Authority is reserved to those permitted by law. This tool is not a substitute for advice that takes account of the particular circumstances and needs of each person. Consult a tax adviser or accountant before filing or paying. All use of its output is the user's sole responsibility.

Instructions

Step 1: Identify the Transaction Type

Determine which type of bookkeeping entry is needed:

  • Payroll (mashkoret): Salary payments with all Israeli statutory deductions
  • VAT (maam): Input VAT, output VAT, or VAT clearing entries
  • Asset purchase (rechishat rechush kavua): Fixed asset acquisition and depreciation
  • Revenue (hachnasot): Revenue recognition for services or goods
  • Loan (halvaa): Loan receipt, repayment, and interest entries
  • Expenses (hotsa'ot): General business expense entries

Step 2: Determine the Business Type

Check whether the business is:

  • Osek Murshe (authorized dealer): Uses double-entry bookkeeping (hanhala kfula). Must charge and report VAT. Uses a full double-entry account structure.
  • Osek Patur (exempt dealer): Uses single-entry bookkeeping (hanhala pshuta). Revenue under the annual threshold (122,833 ILS for 2026). Does not charge VAT on its ordinary supplies, but "never charges VAT" is too strong: an osek patur must charge and remit VAT on a sale of real estate, and on a sale of equipment where it deducted the VAT on acquiring that equipment. Note also that certain professions cannot register as osek patur at all regardless of turnover, and the list includes a bookkeeper (menahel cheshbonot), lawyer, accountant, tax adviser, engineer, architect and doctor among others, so check the profession before assuming the status is available.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
